of course they do......One baseball game, it actually scares me that the Yankees have had their number in recent years, because in one game, that means diddly

They need to shorten the season by 3 games, and the last weekend (this weekend) should be a best 2 of 3 Wildcard weekend

That noise, fuck it.

If you can't handle your business in 162, you're lucky for a shot with 163.

Scary. The rest of the AL wants the twins to win so badly next week. They don't want to see this team with that guy and that pen in the playoffs

I want the Yankees and the Red Sox after.

Indians pitching isn't Twins pitching.

I want the Indians. If the Yanks win the WC game and vs the Twins, it would be the first time in a very long time there is no pressure on them to win a playoffs series. All the pressure would be on Cleveland

Pressure? Indians will be the ones applying the pressure.

They'll buttfuck the Yankees right in the face.

Get ready, he is gonna be great (health permitting of course)

And Xander Boegarts is ho-ho rendous

Well if he keeps the Yankees from outbidding the Sox for some free agent 1b (Hosmer?), then have at it. Good luck with that.

That's a lock

The organization loves Bird

Maybe they go after a good glove at first cause the DH will be available, but not on a Hosmer level

I'm not wild about it either but if they could get him for 5 years at $21 mill per, that wouldn't be too bad. Problem is he's going to be asking for at least $25 per for at least 7+ years.

Can he really get that these days? Seems a lot of these players are overvaluing themselves these days

I'm factoring in that he's a Boras client. Think Boras sees him as still pretty young and thus will want a 7 or 8 year contract. He'll probably start with a high AAV and work down but refuse to go less on the years. Problems with Hosmer is he -might- be worth the big money if he was seen as exceptional defense + bat. Defensive stats however tell a different story and indicate he's not all that.
