Yep Krukow said this on the radio this AM...he needs to play every day at 2nd so he can play multiple positions in the majors, he will be back soon, Diaz for sure will be gone when Estrada is back. Luciano may be back this year as the 3rd middle infielder, can start at short vs lefties and give Crawford a rest, etc

Is Diaz' defense so good that the Giants refuse to play him all over the infield and outfield, unlike just about every other middle infielder that they collect, or is his defense that bad at any other position besides 2nd base?

He's just a place filler, not needed all over the diamond. He's there until Estrada is back and/or Luciano can play 2nd
