Jesus, you must be proud as hell.

Legacy is no joke, I watched Johnny Bedford's fight on there not long ago. Now I see what you meant about not watching Saturday and watching live fights, I honestly thought you were being facetious or something when you first said it lol didn't know your son fought or that you were still training.

I'd also much rather be at a live local show where someone I knew was fighting rather than watch a UFC card around a bunch of Tapout T-Shirt wearing drunks.

How's the guy look that he's facing this week?
Small world lol, Jared got to train with Bedford once a few months back. Before his pro debut, we were at a school in Dallas that opens up Saturday's to any fighters that want to come spar with other fighters. Bedford came in from his school, saw the Thompson's there, Chris Gutierrez, lot of good guys.
You're right about LFA, no joke. The guy he's fighting this week is a southpaw, which is always a concern, stand up guy, pretty strong. I like Jared everywhere against him, but when you're in there with 4 ounce gloves, anything can happen

That's the main thing I love about the MMA/BJJ scene, is even if you're up and coming a complete novice you can train with some of the top guys in the world.

I got the chance to roll with Marcio Cruz at a seminar, he has a school in Tampa but his first black belt ever was my former instructor.

I tell people to never bet on mma for the exact reason you mentioned, 4 ounce gloves makes every fighter that fights have a chance when they step in there.

I usually watch them by myself or with a few choice friends.

If I'm drinking and watching fights and people are saying really stupid shit and don't know what they're talking about it really annoys me.

Kind of like when people ask me who I think would win out of Mayweather/McGregor and then try to tell me McGregor is going to KO him in round 1 because they saw him fight once.
If I'm training Conor, I'm not even training for 12 rounds, because he can't win a decision. I'm training him for a ballistic 3 rounds, literally 9 minutes of full attack. Gives him his best shot at a KO, and if he gasses after a few rounds of chasing Floyd and trying to make a fight of it, even if he gets TKO'd, he still wins in the public eye. He can then offer a Floyd a winner take all MMA match to Mayweather which Floyd will never, ever ever ever ever take lol

Yea, Floyd never really wanted to box Conor to begin with though, and he'd never go into MMA. It was the UFC/Rousey/Conor using Floyd's name to get a bit of a boost and then all the sudden it became a distinct possibility and Floyd saw an easy pay day.

I have a buddy that works for Al Haymon promotions, and is close to Floyd, and from what he told me these guys are laughing behind closed doors and Conor is really intelligent about how he's handling the press and this situation, even though he knows he really can't win.

I agree that he has to KO him within 3 and that he should go ballistic, the problem is that Conor is a counter fighter lol, I so I'm not sure what he's going to look like going straight Diego Sanchez in there acting like a bat out of hell.

I'm rooting for Conor though, would be a great look for mma and would shake up everything, I just don't think it's plausible.

Man that's awesome. Yeah, I will bet on MMA, but only on longshots. Rousey-Holm, Diaz-McGregor, Holm-Tate...give me a 6-1 dog in MMA anytime.
I won't touch the Jones-DC fight, though I'm pretty sure Jones wins. I will be interested though in the line on Lesnar-Jon Jones. If Lesnar opens at a 2-1 or more favorite, I'm gonna sell my home, empty my savings, and put it all on Jones

Those are actually 3 perfect fights that you chose, I didn't bet on any of those except Diaz/McGregor 1 and it was just with a friend for like $100. I have $100 on Floyd because one of my dumb buddies decided to bet it straight up instead of going to a sportsbook and getting 10-1 odds or something.

Jones would beat Lesnar pretty easily, I don't think Lesnar would really be able to get inside and lay a hand on him. DC is saying that after this fight he is probably going back up to HW, win or lose, I think him and Stipe would be interesting.

I think Conor is gonna come out in an unorthodox stance and square off talking shit. When Floyd throws a jab, Conor will attack. After he loses, he will make fun of Floyd for running, and say boxing isn't s true combat sport. In the end, they'll make lots of money, but not really do the sport of boxing any favors

Funny story about that, I hardly ever bet, but I have a poker buddy who is a bookie, and I decided to put $100 on the girls fight, which I felt better about, though I felt Diaz would win, which I told my buddy. I felt good about turning my $100 into $600, till he told me it would have been $3000 if I parlayed it lol

It's already pissed of all the boxing purists, and what you just described could easily happen.

I just feel bad for Canelo/GGG, because that's an actual amazing fight and no one is talking about it now because of this.
