For him to act like this for a video tribute that was scheduled to only take place in pregame introductions is just so shitty.

Hated him as a player and hate him even more now.

I don't have a problem with Pierce not wanting to share his night...after all, I can't think of any time where a player was having his number retired and had to share it with a video tribute for a former player. So, in that regard, I think Pierce is right. Celtics shouldn't have planned it that way. I mean, it's not like they don't have 41 opportunities to plan it.

However, that can't come from him. Better to use his agent to quietly deal with it behind the scenes.

It's like when Kareem made it known he felt slighted that he didn't have a statue at Staples yet. No problem with him feeling that way, but he can't be the one saying it.

Damn, if you are NOLA and Boogie absconds, would you do Davis for Horford, Brown AND Tatum?

Shit, I'd do it if I'm Boston and Hayward is healthy.

But, NOLA?

One thing that Wiggy always said that is hard to disagree with....

Yup don't trade a dollar for 4 quarters.

But, Damn....Tatum and Brown if you are starting over?....lol

Just saw Afflalo go off in the Wolves-Magic game.

What set him off?

The worst part of this is all the other players taking the opportunity to shit on IT. Rondo, KG, Tony Allen with their "Isaiah who?", "we celebrate trips to the conference finals now?". "why does he deserve a tribute video"

Nobody was ever comparing IT to Pierce. Getting a jersey retired and playing a 2 min tribute video for a former player are 2 very different things.

I don't care if the Celtics play a tribute video or not and I doubt IT cares that much. But players taking the chance to pile on IT is what gets me mad. After what happened in the playoffs last year, if you don't understand why Celtic fans might want to pay tribute to IT then you're just stupid.

Agree. They needed to just say they agree with Pierce that he shouldn't have to share his night or even better...just stay out of it.

But to talk down IT, as if he had something to do with the planning is just crap.

Yes.

That gives you 2 great players in AD and Irving and when he gets back......a very good player in Heyward. That's a really good trio.

Favors for Frye/Crowder and a 2nd round?

Fyre is an expiring deal, Crowder is on a great contract. Prob not quite enough to get it done though.

For that price?

Hell yes.

But, yeah....not enough.

If the Cavs somehow got Cousins or AD......with James?

They'd be sick.

I think they'd have to. They aren't going to be much more than a 6-8 seed with those 2......that's a pretty good return. 2 really good youngsters and a solid big man.

DeAndre Jordan might be a more realistic option for the Celtics.

Not sure if the Clippers will consider trading DJ at this point. They're right in the playoffs race.

They can try to sign him outright or give the Clippers pennies on the dollar this Summer.

I don't think the Clippers will trade him because they don't think the market for him this Summer will be great.

Not a lot of Teams with max room and the Clippers don't want to pay him.

It won't happen, but I wouldn't mind him on the Lakers. He would shore up the interior defense and even though they wouldn't need him to score, I could see him getting a lot of dunks in the Lakers system.

Agree.

He wouldn't be the sexy signing.

But, he would be the rim protection that you need.

Ps. Dude has worked hard and is shooting 60% from the line this year.

All of the speculation is centered on the Lakers going after Lebron and PG. Going after DeAndre and Lebron or PG, might actually be the better option.
