I don't agree with that - that's how professional sports make their $$$$$ - they hype the two biggest players for better ratings. College does that a lot as well.
I am saying that typical match ups using LeBron James vs Curry is gold for the NBA. That's going to increase the ratings - so I think I'm saying I agree with you - Naturally we would all like to see different teams every year - but that's only the die hard fans - there are a lot of fans that loves the finals and those people are attracted to big names. All you have to do is to look at how every arena sold out whenever the Lakers played and Kobe Bryant showed up and that was with Kobe and the Lakers losing. So you do agree with it?
KD vs Lebron is a cash flow for the NBA. Two of their best players going at it in the Finals.
But some say that wouldn't get good ratings.
Damn, y'all are being harsh.
Factual.
But, harsh....lol
I do not want to see Cavs/Warriors Trinity.
But, best believe I'm gonna watch if that's what we end up with.
Plenty of secondary storylines, plots to keep us entertained.
Will the Banana Boat Bros flee like thieves in the night when they get smoked in 5?
Will Midget Isiah stop being stir fried shit and help carry the load Kyrie left behind?
Will Draymond play hack-e-sack with anyone's balls?
Will Durant continue to be the fakest, skinniest tough guy in the NBA?
Will Curry go Video Game mode every time Midget Isiah has that audacity to try and check him?
Has there been any word on the tests done on Jayson Tatum's knee? I haven't seen anything yet. Hope he's fine and they are just being cautious. You hate seeing guys go down, especially young guys balling out like he is right now
The underlined statement is simply incorrect - I disagree with that - I agree that KD vs Lebron is a cash flow or at least a boost for ratings
You're right of course. There is no question that some rivalries will draw more ratings than others like a Lakers vs Celtics - That classic all the way, but Ruin the league!?? - That's ignorantIt was a sarcastic shot at the idea that Cavs vs. Warriors would ruin the league.
I will add one more thing - while certain match ups will attract more viewers - I think there enough fans to watch those games that are less attractive then the others. The ratings might dip some, but the NBA is far to strong to go bankrupt over one team not being a big draw. That is about as silly as thinking the NFL is going to go bankrupt because Colin what's his name didn't get signedIt was a sarcastic shot at the idea that Cavs vs. Warriors would ruin the league.
That reminds me of the Paul Pierce incident in the finals - left in a wheel chair and came back in the third quarter.Tyler Johnson left the game in wheel chair
Just a guess.....Kemba's a favorite player of mine, if he's available, he should garner lots of interest around the league. Any idea of what teams would have a pressing need for him?
Top 3 for me.My favorite current NBAer is Kawhi.
They are only down by 10 points though and on the road. A loss would almost be expected for a good team by this, but if they pick up the pace and tighten down on defense, they can still win itLakers are flat as a pancake right now...
