just looked at the Twins team stat leaders, Willingham leads the Twins in Avg., Hr., RBI, and runs. I know its early but he sure does look like a great pick up for the Twins.

I have to agree he seems to be one of the bright stars early in the season.

Hey AP
How are things down your way?

Yeah we lost, what 3 good players and picked up one this offseason? and didn't cut much dead weight. That makes for a bad offseason in my book. Hopefully the Vikings don't follow the same pattern.

Willinghammer is a good guy to have around with the setup of Target Feild and how he likes to hit em. I expect to see many more from him this year.

PC - Me & Lena made it to the new Marlins Stadium last night. It was more beautiful than the TV shows it! A good crowd of very colorful people on hand too. I took-off in the 8th-inning to get back to FT. Myers (150 miles, or so) thinking the Marlins would win. Wrong!! They pulled a "Twins" and gave it back.

You can't believe how bad the area is! It's basically the skid-row of Little Havana, the Cuban enclave of Miami. Vacant, decaying bldgs. everywhere, vacant lots everywhere, bums, winos, homeless waifs with no hope, everywhere. Man, I though I was back where I grew up in Mpls.! Parking?? Forget about it! I did ok only because I got there hrs. early, as is my custom when I go to new places. Don't do this when you go to your first whore-house, I learned that a long time ago. You'll stand there with your pud in your hand all-day!

Well at least the Twins put up a good fight. The new guy, Clete Thomas looks like he has some pop and they need it. Didn't like to see Revere get sent down to make room for him but I supose it is what must be done.

I saw Clete's name in the lineup, thought it was a mis-print. Looks like Ryan is gonna make as many moves as he can to get this team off the mark and running. Wish him luck!

I can appreciate the effort to boost the bats but the pitching continues to be a problem. Would be nice if Marquis can get it together for the Twins. Sounds like he will come up on Wednesday and get the start against the Yanks.

For Sure, pitching seems to be the real issue. I think Ryan is throwing mud on the wall hoping something will stick. The Twins remind of cars and boats I've owned that I could never get to run right no matter what I did. It's maddening! I'll say until the bitter end that Mauer has to lead this team with a strong bat. I just know this is true!

Mauer led the way for the offense last nite! Pavano stood-up strong & tall against the once powerful Yankees. Bullies hate it when someone hits them first. I learned in college to blast the MFers in the nose and keep going, worked every time. The Twins might have found that out last night. If you guys remember, the Rays were beating the Yanks with their rag-tag teams years ago when the Yankees were the "power" in baseball. Now they have absolutely no fear of the Yanks! Go Twins!

The early lead was good and the Twins usually seem to jump on them early but then can't hold the lead. When Pavano gave up two HR's in a row right away I was saying, "Here we go..." Awesome to see him stay in there and keep fighting. He almost seems to get better as he gets deeper in the game. And to top it off Capps shuts the door. Good game for the Twinks.

Speaking of Pavano, how's that "hissy-fit" between him and his gay-lover coming, oops, poor choice words, "going" is probably more politically-correct.......anyone heard?
