It really wont matter who manages the Sox, the Yankees are about to dominate the East until we probably all die

he has a career 140 OPS+ and already has 26.1 WAR under his belt. he's only 24 (soon to be 25).

And imagine what those numbers will eventually look like in the Bronx hitting behind Judge and in front of Sanchez

yup

and he plays 128 games a year
has hit over .275 twice.
130 hits a year (nice ratio tho)
averages 25 HR/70 RBI

his saber stats are nice, but i dont see a HOFer at this point.

So, you look at that list and feel it's smart to expect a college kid to be better than an HOFer?

Seriously. Even with the injuries, Strasburg's already managed a better career than most #1 picks. There's only five pitchers ahead of him in WAR and he could pass four of them next year (Price being the exception). Only three of those #1 picks were inner-circle HOF players (and one probably won't make it in). Mauer should be in the HOF IMO, but I'm not sure he'll get the support. The other guys in the top 10 in WAR include Strawberry (a guy who was on a HOF path and fell off a cliff), Adrian Gonzalez, Harold Baines, B.J. Surhoff, David Price and Rick Monday.

you're missing the part where he's only going to be 25 next year and Harper was among the best hitters in the league in 2015 (a historically good year at that) and 2017.
