And the one school in the B1G who would be opposed to sattelite camps is..........OSU. Why? Not because they are "shady", but because the state of Ohio has quality recruits and they don't have another major university in Ohio. So having SEC schools having camps could hurt recruiting.

Everyone is saying the exact same thing. The only people who don't. SEC fans. Would you like me to post all the articles for you?
It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out why the SEC wants them banned. It has nothing to do with shady. The SEC is the shadiest conference in the NCAA. They don't want coaches from others conferences building relationships in SEC country.
It is the SAME reason why Urban Meyer doesn't want them either. Ohio is one of the best states in the north to recruit from and they get it all to themselves.

Have you looked at the roster? Meyer gets many from down south and tries for more than he gets.

Are you figuring out why he has hired some high school coaches in recruiting hot beds? New Jersey is the #1 state for FBS recruits based on the number of schools in state. They have Rutgers and that's it. Hire Partridge and in one year he is named the national recruiter of the year. Another state with a lot of recruits and not a lot of options is Maryland (we offered Poggi a job in recruiting), Florida is so flush with talent, it doesn't matter they have so many schools (devin Bush could be joining the staff), Alabama has a ton of talent, we hired a coach from Prattville and already have two recruits from Alabama.
Connections in those states go a long, long way. Once you get your foot in the door, you can further connections elsewhere in that state.

When your school isnt located in a big recruiting area, those are the things you do to build relationships

It isn't a secret. Ohio has always had a deeper pool of football recruits than Michigan.
And 36% of your recruits coming from your home state is a TON.
Michigan had 3 of 28 from Michigan and 1 was a kicker.

So grey shirting, medical hardship, oversigning, special admission for athletes who don't meet the minimum requirement, text book scandals, academic scandals, numerous and numerous times being caught for impermissible benefits to recruits.
They draw the line though at sattelite football camps. PLEASE tell me you see the hypocrisy of this.
