If only he were Jim Harbaugh - so we would know he is the absolute best coach since John Heisman before he has even coached a game.
:harbaugh:
Luckily for the Chipster, he has Wilton Speight.

Daily Five: 5 (Potentially) Stupid Pac-12 Preseason Predictions

1. Washington will get to the College Football Playoff
No matter how the cake gets baked and how it gets done, Washington will make it two College Football Playoff games in three years, and that third year an appearance in the Fiesta Bowl.

It’s all working under head coach Chris Petersen.

This year’s team is missing the sure-thing explosive receiver to bust open the passing game. That’s about it, and that might actually emerge in a hurry.

NFL-caliber passer? Yup. Jake Browning might not have all the tools, but he’s going to have a long career in the league in some form.

NFL-caliber running back? Yup. Myles Gaskin is around for one more year, leading a deep and talented backfield.

NFL-caliber offensive line? Yup. Trey Adams might be the No. 1 offensive tackle off the board if he’s 100% healthy, and Kaleb McGary won’t be all that far behind.

Experience returning on the league’s best defense? Yup. Nine starters and 11 of the top 14 tacklers are back to a D that allowed under 300 yards per game. The secondary is among the nation’s best, and as always, the front seven will be terrific.

The Huskies are going to set the tone early with a win over Auburn, and they’ll overcome a loss along the way – like at Utah, at Oregon, or even with a slip-up against Stanford – but they’ll get to the Pac-12 Championship, win it, and get into the CFP.

Who cares if they lose to Alabama again? Get in and roll the dice.

I wouldn’t say SC took a hit with Jack Jack. They’re actually looking stronger without him. Solid CB when he wanted to play but cost SC as much as he helped them. SC is running 3 deep at cb right now Olijah Griffin is looking solid. Outside the Gustin and Geoteote injuries Looking like 4 weeks each. The SC defense has been a major bright spot in camp. Tuneless and Tui look legit

3. USC will be a whole lot better than anyone thinks
This might just be the type of team that rises up and rocks when no one is paying attention – even though everyone always pays attention to USC.

The focus will be on losing Sam Darnold to the New York Jets, and star running back Ronald Jones to Tampa Bay, but it’s USC. It replaces good players with more of them.

Super-recruit JT Daniels will be more than solid as the new Trojan star quarterback, and the running back situation will be great with Aca’Cedric Ware and Stephen Carr as the main men in a good rotation behind a line that gets four starters back. Throw in a young and supremely talented receiving corps, and the offense will work.

It’s the defense that’ll will be the difference.
