Ranking the Pac-12's College Football Coaches for 2017

1. Chris Petersen, Washington

washington-huskies.png
In just three seasons, Petersen has transformed Washington into one of the PAC-12’s top programs. The Huskies went 8-6 under Petersen in 2014 and finished 7-6 one year later. However, after building the team with a handful of young players from 2014-15, the youth movement paid off in 2016. Washington won its first Pac-12 title since 2000, claimed 12 regular season wins and a berth in the CFB Playoff against Alabama in the Peach Bowl. Success at a high level is nothing new to Petersen. He went 92-12 at Boise State from 2006-13. As a head coach, Petersen has only three years of fewer than 10 wins and has never recorded a losing record.

There is:
  • Chris Peterson
  • Mike Leach
  • then everyone else.

Fact
Oh, that guy at Utah.

Nobody else has ever done jack shit.

#amirite or what
And David Shaw ... the Stanford coach. The rest of those coaches in that conference suck.

Kind of crazy to think that part of that 92-12 overall record at Boise was his final one in 2013 of 8-5, a disaster by Boise's standards.

Arizona seems to turn every coach they get into crap for some reason.
Arizona State can't keep anyone's attention.
The UCLA dude is up and down. Mora, that's his name.
Cal, who the fuck cares.
Colorado will be back to nothing this year.
And the USC dude seems to be the only one that has an upside.

Oh, and that Oregon guy, Taggerty or whatever.
Out of place son of a bitch.

If USC didn't have Sam Darnold they'd be sucking.

Petersen's a great coach and pure class. He does things the right way and doesn't cut corners, everyone is accountable. I'm extremely thankful for the time we had him. Truth be told, he probably held on a little too long which just points to his dedication and loyalty.

If you think a winning percentage of 37% at USF and 32% at Western Kentucky fits you guys, who am I to argue.
Just seemed like an odd, out of place, hire of someone with no proven record. It's the exact opposite of "proven record".

Well he did win the Fiesta Bowl his first season but has not won his division let alone conference these last couple. And in those two seasons, he's 19-7 which is completely unacceptable considering the soft schedule.

The conference is his, then Coach Pete.....

Shaw has kept the football factory going pretty damn good there, since Jimbo bolted......
Shaw is the man for sure but after UW whoops Stanford's ass this season he's going to be a legit #2 behind coach Pete.

Peterson is a legit top 5 in all of college football. He is one of those guys that can take the opposing team's roster and out perform the other coach against his own team.

The rest of the league I'm not crazy impressed with.
