You're claiming that the Ducks have been "relevant" for 20 years. Thats since 1997.
Here's their records from 1997 till 2007 which is half of those years.
1997 , 7-5
1998, 8-4
1999, 9-3
2000, 10-2
2001, 11-1

2002, 7-6
2003, 8-5
2004, 5-6
2005, 10-2
2006, 7-6
2007, 9-4

so only 3 years did they win 10 or more and two were together and the next one was five years later. How in the world is this being "relevant"

here's USC s record since Pete left. You know , sanctions, USC being down , Trojans suck, not able to recruit 10 players a year for four years.
2010, 8-5
2011, 10-2
2012, 7-6
2013, 10-4 (with three different coaches)
2014, 9-4
2015, 8-6
2016, 10-3

So USC in seven years of being down and in the middle of sanctions and everyone saying they sucked had just as many 10 win seasons , never won less than 7. But you say oregon was "relevant" with a worse ten years.
I said 20+. AND i already gave all the stats. You can post whatever you want but in the last 21 years Oregon has been to 9 BCS bowls. That equals relevant no matter how you try to spin it

You said 20 years of relevance. They had two 10 win seasons between 1997 and 2007 . All the other seasons in those ten years were 8-6, 7-6, 9-4 (with a 5-6) seasons. How is that relevant ? How do you lump that in with the success they had starting in 2008? And they played in seven BCS bowls in 20 years. The Alamo bowl wasn't a BCS game.

No I said 20+. Learn to read. This is common sense shit. 9 major bowls since the mid 90s. I don't even know what you're arguing about. It's obvious and I'm not an Oregon fan

LOL. Between 2009 and 2014 they were truly relevant. Five top bowls, two of them NC games. But you can';t lump in the previous 10-14 years where they went to two top bowls with a shit load of 7-8-9 win seasons. So not they haven't been relevant for 20 years. Between 1997 and 2007 were a 7-8-9 win team with two 10 seasons and a 5 win season too. You can't add these years and say they were relevant at the time. It's just false.

Just a Comparison

Oregon 08-15 (8 Years)
4 Conference Titles
2 Rose Bowl Wins
1 Fiesta Bowl Win
1 Holiday Bowl Win

USC 02-08 (7 Years)
2 National Titles
7 Conference Titles
4 Rose Bowl Wins
2 Orange Bowl Wins

USC in 7 Years had the same amount of Rose Bowl Wins as Oregon had Bowl Wins in 8 Years.

Oh dude no doubt. USC was so damn dominant during that run. I haven't forgotten. Every one of those seasons they were the best in the country or at least right there in the conversation. They were loaded with talent.

ESPN Football Power Index - 2017 - ESPN <--- ESP1N has Oregon going 8 - 4 on there. I have them going anywhere from 6 - 6 to 7 - 5.
with about 5 conference wins. their FPI has Oregon favored over all 3 OOC, beating ASU, Cal, WSU, Utah, Arizona, and Oregon State. and only in the red at 41% against UCLA. just under 60% against WSU and ASU

Oregon has three tough OOC games. If they can go 2 - 3 in those games they're ahead of the curve imo.

What, you don't think the Thunderbirds will give Oregon a game?

Southern Utah?
If last years Oregon team can still beat Eastern Washington who was 12-2 I think beating Southern Utah who was 6-5 should be doable.

I meant to say 2 -1 ... which would be solid for Oregon if they can pull it off. Nebraska is no slouch and Virginia will be improved.

Nebraska has a new QB and its a home game.
not playing UVA this year. that series is done. @ Wyoming is the other game. FPI is giving Wyoming a better chance against Oregon. prob because is home game.

Predicting College Football's Next 10 National Champions

2025: Oregon
The Ducks finally get their national championship.

Chip Kelly, of course, is back coaching the Ducks.

at the very least, their run was brighter and lasted longer than Baylor's. Of course Baylor rose from the very bottom-but their star burned out fast.

as pointed out, Oregon has great facilities and is popular with the youngsters. Remains to be seen if they can hang. Taggert may bring them back, who knows.

It seems to me that Darnold is very concerning for every PAC 12 team out there and beyond. The kid is just dog pound. He has every tool in the shed. He's going to be a serious problem for every team that has to deal with him.
yeah, true dat.

Predicting the Next 10 Football National champions was a pretty good article, but I think Justin Fuente at Virginia Tech gets one before Urban Meyer claims one at Notre Dame. And I'm not so sure about the Kirby Smart prediction, either.

Oregon isn't playing Virginia. They are playing Southern Utah, Nebraska and at Wyoming.

Oregon has a very good chance to go 3-0 in their OOC games. 2-1 is a must.
