Hell, most of the turdheads didn't even follow ooym's instructions and stick to the list. But, that ain't nuttin' new. I'm just a real obedient sumbitch!

I really couldn't pretend to order 10 coaches all time. I can do Alabama's and that's about it.

Hell, I can't either. I just listed 'em off the top of my head. And I'm bald headed!

General Neyland

Robert Neyland.
Everyone coaching football (even Nick Saban) lives by his seven maxims.
His incomparable record includes an un-scored-upon season.
/thread.

It's an impressive stat for sure.
Oh, and he had to build a great team, then go serve for 4 years, then came back and did it again.

Any list of greatest college football coaches that doesn't have Robert Neyland listed as #1 is illegitimate. Saban? He cites Neyland and his maxims in accounting for Alabama's victories as well as his own success.

There has to be some requirements for something like this.

Heavens...there are 50 names that could be on that list, if not more.

The obvious one is Bill Snyder. Takes over a program that in its history had won
less than 40% of their games...and he has them at winning 70%.

Johnny Vaught at Ole Miss.

When he began at Ole Miss...they were 9th in the SEC in all-time wins.

He retired 24 years later and he had moved them up to 3rd place behind Bama
and Tennessee.

He's been gone for 48 years and they are back down to 7th place. (That's their 12
teams that were in it when he coached there)

These guys can coach and coach at places that never won big before or since.

Urban is better than Bobby. Just a fact.

I'd put Bobby top 10 but I wouldn't put him above Urban

Frank Leahy should be in there somewhere. I’d arguably put him over Rockne. Rockne was a legend and built ND’s national brand, but Leahy’s teams were far more dominant, and he won NC’s at two different schools (coached BC to their only NC).
