Something about that just doesn't seem right. That's a long time to go w/o playing an OOC game outside of Florida.
Well you know they play the semenholes every year... :burt:

Is that why Florida (Gators) hasn't left the state of Florida, to play a regular season OOC football game since 1991?

That and the fact that UF can fill their stadium with 90K every week unlike the Trojans who must travel to away games to see what a full stadium looks like.

Google it and you will see that the last time the Florida Gators left the State of Florida for a regular season OOC football was in 1991.

The Gators open the 2017 season against No. 14 Michigan in the Cowboys Classic at AT&T Stadium. It will mark the first time since 1991 that the Gators have left the state of Florida to play a nonconference game. The last time wasn't a pleasant memory. They lost 38-21 to Syracuse in the Carrier Dome.

Fair enough, if that makes you happy, then I'm happy. :-)

Those links didn't work for me.

Why does this board replace every url link with "SportsHoopla Sports Forums"
Try these.
Home:
h t t p://w w w.cf btrivia.com/cfbt_records.php?fry=1946&thy=2016&home=on&tmajor=on&sortby=GP&tcur=on&cres=1

Away:
h t t p://w w w.cf btrivia.com/cfbt_records.php?fry=1946&thy=2016&tmajor=on&sortby=GP&tcur=on&cres=1

Anyway use the above and remove the spaces!
Those links didn't work for me.
Be nice to create a list of all teams with the percentage of home games vs. total games played ranked from high to low in that same time frame.

I'll see what I can do!

Florida has VERY rarely played more than 4 away games for at least 15 years.

What a bunch of pussies!

Really?
Let's compare OU's and UF's away schedule from 2002-2016 (15 seasons).

Oklahoma: 68 away games: 2 T10: 23 Yr Rnk: 63 Maj: 39 with D1A win rec: 43 Bowl teams

....Florida: 63 away games: 16 T10: 28 Yr Rnk: 63 Maj: 39 with D1A win rec: 43 Bowl teams

Let's compare OU's and UF's away schedule from say 1990 to today.

Oklahoma: 120 Games away: 11 T10 opponents: 39 Yr Rnk: 111 Maj: 65 with D1A win rec: 63 Bowl teams

....Florida: 111 Games away: 27 T10 opponents: 48 Yr Rnk: 111 Maj: 64 with D1A win rec: 70 Bowl teams

So, if UF is a bunch of pussies then OU is there with them!!!

And before you tell me about how you play Texas in RRS....

Oklahoma: 39 Neut site games: 9 T10: 24 Yr Rnk: 38 Maj: 30 with D1A win Rec: 30 Bowl teams

....Florida: 38 Neut site games: 16 T10: 28 Yr Rnk: 38 Maj: 33 with D1A win Rec: 35 Bowl teams

Yes @Gator
That's excellent.

Looks like the State of Arizona is the ultimate Mama's Boy state. :pound:

Anyone at 51% or above is the Mama's Boy's line.

Good Job

So, if UF is a bunch of pussies then OU is there with them!!!

Is this what you were looking for?

Pos.....Team.........Total Games ......Home.......................Away........................Neutral.....
50...Florida..............821...............391.....47.62%..........260.....31.67%..........170...20.71%
54...Oklahoma.........830...............387.....46.63%..........309.....37.23%..........134...16.14%
Less games, more home games and WAY less away games. You win neutral games, and that's about it.

Like I said, pussies. How many of those away games were against an OOC P5 opponent OTHER THAN your in-state rival? I bet you can count them on one hand.

When you have 2 other teams that win national championships in your state and aren't in your conference, it's not that surprising.

It would be like UCLA, Cal and Stanford not being in the Pac12 conference. Does them being California teams mean you shouldn't play them as part of your OOC schedule?

Would scheduling them be "pussy scheduling"?

Less games, more home games and WAY less away games. You win neutral games, and that's about it.

Like I said, pussies. How many of those away games were against an OOC P5 opponent OTHER THAN your in-state rival? I bet you can count them on one hand.

This is complete BULLSHIT!

Does OU HAVE an OOC in-state rival? NO
Does Texas HAVE an OOC in-state rival? NO
Does OSU HAVE an OOC in-state rival? NO
Does USC HAVE an OOC in-state rival? NO
Does Michigan HAVE an OOC in-state rival? NO
Does Oregon HAVE an OOC in-state rival? NO
Does Nebraska HAVE an OOC in-state rival? NO
Does VT HAVE an OOC in-state rival? NO
Does Washington HAVE an OOC in-state rival? NO

So all you bitching is because UF has something you don't have? It's called rival envy!

I never said anything about 2 teams winning National Championships from the same state. I was talking about the Florida Gators not leaving the state of Florida to play a regular season OOC football game since 1991.
