Where does this put us in the division? Still behind Dallas...but possibly ahead of NY? Definitely ahead of Washington (especially if they trade Cousins)?

I find it hard to even put it to paper since teams have so much to do yet. I think NY took a boost this week and we certainly did. Washingtons a question mark and while I want to find a reason at any point showing Dallas will suck....I can't see anything at this point to back it.

But we did just get more.....capable in some ways.

CB Kayvon Webster could be the next free agent added ... if not then I could easily see our first 2 draft picks being Corners.

We apparently need to trade, cut or restructure people to sign anyone. We are already slightly over the cap.

Shouldn't be a problem ... still have a good deal of guys we can cut and not hurt us much at all.

Washington is back to being the Dan Snyder Show. This pleases me greatly.

I'd say Dallas has another year before the Eagles and Giants close the gap.

I'm not really sold on Prescott and could see him taking a step back. But the rest of that offense is so solid, they'd still probably be ok.

I think the Giants/Cowboys are about the same tier, and we and Washington in the same tier quite a bit below them.

Giants fate lies in the hands of the defenders that Eli throws the ball to...

Our best Corner is Jalen Mills ... until that changes I'm still not getting my hopes up too high. Thank the football gods that it's a great CB draft year.

I know they sat for a while but we need a lito sheppard, sheldon brown and michael lewis draft -- which also included brian westbrook so we could deal with that.

:agree: He would make a lot of sense. It might be very difficult to start 2 rookie CBs this year. And, we still need a starting EDGE rusher, unless Vinny Curry improves a lot.

I like it....I am calling him my starting Center now.

JP, Brooks, Wiz, Warmack, Lane

Yikes....I forgot Semulo. Make him Starting C as of this moment.

With exception of JP every potential starting lineman is 27 or less!

Good for the Eagles on signing Smith and Womack. They both only got .5m signing bonuses so clearly no market for them but also no commitment. They can compete to make the team and clearly have upside.

The Jeffery thing seems strange to me. First you have to assume this was the best offer so any sort of multi year deal out there was probably for not much more guarantee and a lot less annual average. Makes you wonder why Chicago didnt want to keep him. Risk of ped suspension or injury i suspect.

So the Eagles give him 14m for one year. Top annual salary in tbe league. If he doesnt pan out its a waste of 14m. If it does they now need to compete with 31 other teams ....all of which have more money....to keep him. This one reminds me of the Maclin one year deal. Good in the short term but gone the next year.

That may be more of a bandaid signing than team building. Reeks of desperation from Howie to justify his over paying for Wentz and his acquisition of a mediocre Head Coach. He desperately needs those moves to pan out and Jeffery gives that a better chance of happening.

I like the Giants signing of Brandon Marshall much more. More dependable and a 2 year deal at 6m per.

Dont get me wrong i appreciate the Eagles spending money and trying to win but they did just overpay for an unreliable player....and no ability to lock him in at a fair price if he does well. Good player. Bad contract.

Now that their cap is tightening a bit, this really makes me wonder why they re-signed Celek to that deal. He is a complete non-factor in the passing game at this point. Is he a huge chunk of the cap? No. But 4+ million per year could be used better elsewhere.

Because Ertz is soft. Hopefully he toughened up but we still need Celek to do the real TE stuff.

I'm not worried about the cap if he's still signing guys and is confident they will all fit. Howie knows what he is doing in this regard, it's always what he's been good at.
