Yet the Falcons made it to the Super Bowl and the Cowboys watched the game from their TV's. How sweet it is. :pound::pound::pound:

I have no idea what the fuck that is all about. I suspect dementia....

I had a horse in the contest.

And Quinn was about to explode on that play. And just like his team he blew his load early and had sweet fuck all left when it mattered.

And he really looked like a complete buffoon bouncing about. Give him a wad of gum and some spittle...

No doubt who he learned his "skills" from...

He played great, just curious what he's looking for.

You know the expression, if you have to ask.... He's already on record saying teams overpay for superbowl winners. He's really a very good blocker, and he was well behaved. No complaints... wish him well in FA.

You think the Hawks can handle two Bennetts?

What's the definition of insanity? I wouldn't make my team run into a Brick wall again and again and again... this guy doesn't understand game management. Cut your losses.
With logic like this why doesn't Ross sell the dolphins they've sucked for decades. They keep making the same mistake. It's called losing.

Yep, Ryan is a veteran and should have never been sack at the Pats 23 yard line with 3/4 minutes left in the game. A field goal at that time for the Falcons would have been huge.
The coach/coaches don't expect that to happen either. They expect the players who are getting paid millions to do their job. Sure not every play gets executed perfectly every time. If they did football would be quite boring. But on that play Freeman has one job. Slow down a pass rusher. He whiffed and sorry Hightower is not known for his pass rush abilities. Freeman totally whiffed and didn't give Ryan even a chance at throwing it away.

Yeah, many teams have make the same mistakes for decades and haven't reached the Super Bowl.

Should Atlanta have done things differently? Well yeah, duh. Easy to say now, but they didn't. You can't get a come back like this without both teams playing their part and both did. It still takes a lot of precision and a hell of a lot of moxie (no, not @moxie) to keep driving down that field and complete all those plays. Not many in the league can do that. Just give them their props.

Before the game it looked like Atlanta on paper, but most were still taking the Pats because they've been there and done that and weren't going to get lost in the moment. And that's how it went. Atlanta was the better team in the first half and were fucking horrible in the second. Pats made the adjustments and were laser focused down the stretch. There was no shock there, or shouldn't have been.

When we saw the Pats win the coin toss for the OT period everyone at our party knew it was game over. There was no chance at all they were keeping them out of the end zone.

The better team won.
I had mentioned earlier in the week one of the untangibles was expirence verse inexpirence both players and coaches.
During the game even when Atlanta was smacking NE around, NE never looked anxious. Mid 3rd qtr I was screaming for them to move with urgency. Yet Brady looked in control.
Now fast forward to the last couple of Atlanta possessions Ryan and others looked very nervous. Watch Ryan ground the ball to stop the clock. He looks frazzled. Grounding it was a dumb dumb move.

If you get a chance, watch the video of that play. Ryan rolled out to his right and had a chance to get rid of the ball before he was sacked.

I doubt that'll happen if he's commanding that kind of money he thinks he's worth. We have JG and he and RW seem to be getting on the same page. Overall, I say pass on MB.
That's assuming Seattle Keeps Graham? Bennett is a better blocker. Will likely cost less. Almost as good as a receiver. If Seattle stays run first may not be a bad option?

Watching the replay before dinner.

Did anybody else notice Quinn manifesting his Inner Idiot Pete Carroll on the pick 6 play. I thought he was going to explode on the sidelines. Brian Cox had to grab him from lifting off..... Bouncing around like an idiot....

Like his defense he shot his wad early and had nothing when the game really mattered.
And like his defenese's Cox was holding him pretty good

I saw some of you saying that. I'll have to rewatch it. I thought it was bang bang. Just to clarify we're talking about the Hightower sack right?
Thanks for keeping me honest.

I don't think it was the Hightower sack, his sack led to the Ryan fumble. I was talking about the sack that Ryan took at the Pat's 23 yard line, that took the Falcons out of field goal range with 3/4 minutes left.

Yep two different plays. The sack you're talking about was the Flowers sack. Ryan had time to get rid of it. But he had just started to leave the pocket. He dropped back, looked a couple of times then started the roll out. It could've possibly been a grounding since he was close to still being between tackles.
Regardless I for one am very happy he held onto it:D

@rmilia1 is in heaven right now and for the rest of the off season. He's a true fan and he deserves it.

:pound:

The middle pages of this thread are chock full of Midnight Angel posts. I think I'll be bumping them for some time to come.

Probably, but the TE position is probably towards the bottom of the priority list. He would be nice to have but Seattle has bigger issues.
