He is one of the people I hope comes to Michigan if Harbaugh were to ever leave. With all these possible coaching vacancies, do you think he's on the market? Personally he has so many ties to the NFL, I feel like he's another Harbaugh in that he either coaches his Alma Mater(Stanford) or the NFL. But he could be a hell of a candidate.

He's a great coach. I'd love for him to come to ND if/when Kelly gets his ass canned.

That's the thing though. I'm not sure ADs trust him to stay long term due to his NFL ties. He is currently at the school he graduated from so there is a reason he hasn't bolted them yet. Along with the fact that Stanford is still a top Pac 12 program getting good recruiting classes.

You're probably correct in your assessment. I wouldn't mind if he came to ND for like 4 years, installed his culture and then bolted to the NFL. I think ND would be better off because of it.

Yeah, hard to believe Harbaugh's been there two years already. Knowing his history you have next year, maybe 2018 if you're lucky. Good idea to start the next candidate search now.

Yeah because he's just been hopping all over the place. He's 63, could easily have another ten years. Five years will be long enough though the way he's recruiting. Then bring in one of his coordinators or maybe Scott Frost if he pans out.
It's all part of the plan. Harbaugh? 3-4 years seems to be his tenure anywhere.

Dude that wasn't part of a plan, it was a panic hire.

The question might be, would Shaw take over another Harbaugh ran program?

So Nebraska felt sorry for Riley and therefore gave him a job? Wouldn't that make it a charity hire not a panic.

It's possible but I'm not sure he wants to leave Stanford.

Thank you. I find it funny how grown men use the I know you are but what am I.

I just looked at his employment history and determined, yeh it's probably a good idea to start looking.

I think the Brasky fan misunderstood my point. You guys will probably have Mike Riley(A mediocre ass coach) for a long time. So let's be honest here. Do you really want to make fun of the fact that Harbaugh could leave, when you have a mediocre coach for a long time?

And I know how important that is on a sports forum. But actually I am. Weren't we talking about replacing Harbaugh?
NO this thread is about Shaw showing up where there is a vacancy. Read the OP again.
