In 2014, with Luck for 16 games, Hilton averaged over 17 PPG in a ppr
Not saying it's a bad move to keep Hilton or one of the other WR, just wanted to show that RBs who don't catch passes are still pretty valuable and it's no slam dunk either way you go.

I agree they can be valuable, but the whole reason for taking RBs ahead or WRs in standard leagues is position scarcity. In PPR, you don't have the same issue because many teams have 2 guys who are fantasy relevant every week. If the RB position does not carry the same scarcity value in PPR, why invest in an no elite option over a safer WR?

I agree in PPR leagues the RB pool is larger, still think they are harder to come by then good WRs, unless the league start three WRs. That tilts the scales the other way perhaps. The fact that WRs are "safer" makes me feel more confident of finding a "safe " WR in the draft vs a work horse RB and I'd much rather have a work horse RB then a pass catching RB, even in PPR league. There are actually only a small handful of pass catching RBs worth using a RB2 or flex, Woodhead, who is exceptional, Sims, Bilal Powell, Theo Riddick, Dion Lewis, Gio Mmm that about covers it for the most part

Duke Johnson, Prosise, Starks, Chris Thompson, Vereen, Sproles, McFadden, Arian Foster, etc.

I am probably reaching on a couple of these, but there are a ton of backs who gain value and become fringe flex plays in PPR. In leagues with 12 or fewer, you can probably find a 7-8 point scorer in the wire.

Duke Johnson sure. The rest....show me the stats that back this up on a weekly bases. I'm sure they've had weeks they put up 8 points between weeks they put up far less. Now your talking this year, so no stats yet, but name these fringe flex players from last year that you could count on for 8 points weekly. I've read others on Roto say the same, I'm not buying it.

Well 3 WRs slots would have me inclined to pick Johnson and Hilton, but it would gall me some.

There's enough WRs for 3 slots, but their going to be teams that go WR, WR,WR, WR, WR it's the latest fad in FF. So you got to grab a WR in self defense.

Should work out fine, surely he'll corral more then 3 TDs this year, he literally has no other WR on the team to snatch them away.
Course not having a decent WR across from him might be part of the problem, he gets all the attention.

Nor did he last year, for the most part. Was last year a bad blip, or was his rookie year the fluke? He didn't come through as the #1 very often in VJAX's absence is all that is known

It's a mystery why he's not scoring TDs. The guy is 6'5, high volume of targets......

Kinda why I'm focusing my attention to a very cheap Vincent Jackson in redrafts, and fliers on Kenny Bell, or a shot in the dark on one of the other no names, in keeper/dynasties.

Excellent point.
Checked my distribution numbers.
While Tampa was fairly consistent with other NFL teams in throwing to the WR position (51% of passes went to the WR), only 26% of TD passes went to a Tampa WR, which was the 4th-lowest WR TD percentage in the NFL.
