Kap is a talented athlete for sure. He has skills. Problem is that he just doesn't have the brain to be a QB in the NFL. It's possible that Peyton sold his brain for a SB ring to be put in Kap's skull.Hence the mad desire for Denver to sign him. Kap'n'Peytonstein.

Basically Denver will pay $7million of Kaep's salary but want SF to pay fro the rest.

You're right about him having skills. He can run like the wind, and he can throw a football through a brick wall. Those are his skills and he doesn't know how to do anything but use those two skills. He doesn't have a third skill, unless collecting sneakers and hats counts. The phrase "touch-pass" and Colin Kaepernick will never be heard in the same sentence....unless it's this one.

Doubt this will happen. The 9ers' FO thinks that Kelly can work with him. I'm really hoping a deal gets worked out but this deal will fail on the 9ers' side.

I agree, but Denver even with their good defense needs an above average QB, or they don't win their division.
They won with BELOW average QB play lastcseason. Correct me if I'm wrong, they did win the SB right?

I'd like to see Denver go into this season with Kaepernick and Sanchez.
As a Patriot fan, it doesn't get any better than this......

When did you become a Denver fan?????

You know I think it might have been when I saw New England lose in Denver over and over and over and over and over again. The amount of times New England has lost in Denver especially in the playoffs is amazing, it shocks even me just how bad the Patriots are.

You might be right, but Oldtimer somehow thinks Denver can't win with bad QB play. I'm starting to wonder how many times he wanders around lost nit knowing where he lives.

You're right the Broncos did win the SB last year with an average QB, but IMO I wouldn't expect them to win this year with an average QB. I would be surprised if they won their division.

They didn't win with an average QB, they won with a way BELOW average QB.

If no coach on the planet could win with Bradford, how can you back a coach that traded for Bradford by giving up a QB that HAD worked in your system (before giving away your #1 receiver) along with a 2nd round pick and another pick swap?

Because Kelly is not going to make personnel decisions for the 49ers. He's a really good coach, but he's not a good GM at all. He's like Mike Holmgren in that respect.

No, he always knows where he lives. He just sometimes doesn't know where he is. ;)

In DEN he'll be in a position similar to previous years in SF (before the defense got ravaged by retires/arrests/etc) where there was not as much pressure on him to carry the team. Also, I don't think the public knew about the shoulder problems he had the surgery for.

Bold: but I agree, with his present mentality, it will be tough to put it together for 16 games. His lack of confidence was pretty obvious in gameplay. On a side note, I also had damn Torrey Smith (and Boldin) in FF last year, and it didn't appear that Kaep could get the freakin' ball to him.

Three surgeries I believe he had. Very true that the Broncos look similar to the 9ers of a few years ago. Kap hasn't shown much but possibly might be better with another team. I never wish for bad shit on any player but the 9ers need a real QB, not a gimmick plug-in type. Our D sucks at the moment so we need points on the O side.

IMO, Denver won't win the AFC West with a bad QB. As good as the Seahawk's defense is, they would be an average team without Russell Wilson. By the way, for my age, I probably have more smarts than you ever will.
