He didn't want to move his family again and Houston went hard after him by giving him a raise and a silent agreement that he might be next in line(that last part is a guess but rumor going around.)

This had nothing to do with Chip because common sense he won't butt in on D. DC will have full control. Its actually a great situation who ever becomes the DC.

Not according to Vrabel.

So the DC has full control of the defense? That's a big deal? The DC will be the goat after the D gets blasted because they are on the field all day long. In other words the DC position for the 49ers is for those that want to end their coaching career in the NFL.
What are you talking about. We know u are a hater but come one man. Before last year we had one of the better DC in the league. Our defensive talent is a lot better then the Eagles. Next DC is getting some nice young talent. We will be fine. Im not worried on Defensive side. Our offense sucked and I know Chip will help us in that.

Before last year you had one of the better DC? Agreed. However your bringing back last years DC and Chip's hurry up and get the defense on the field offense will make him look even worse. Most likely his last year in the NFL.

Got to give me points about Mangini window closing, because I hadn't heard the news yet.

Just a few hours ago, it's going to be fun to see who is desperate enough to accept the job.
not desperate, its who is right for the job. Good job to have with the players we have.

Can you imagine how hard it will be on the defense when the offense plays a hurry up offense all game long. Especially when the offense goes 3 and out.

Why would you want to coach a defense that would be on the field all the time?

Not exactly a great line coming from a Dolphins fan (or from a Vikings fan if you're going to come back at me with that).

Gotta have something to laugh about. I openly admit the Dolphins suck, and you guys can throw anything at me about them you want. I can take it. Like they always say. Don't dish it out if you can't take it.

I'm betting Belichick had something to do with it, because Chip & BB are known to be friends. Probably told Chip to ditch the rat

Don't blame him. Kelly has zero regard for what it takes to run a successful defense.

Bingo.

The Kelly hire goes to show how nuclear meltdown glowing green the 9ers are with York/Baalke. Nobody wanted the job. And nobody is going to want to be the doushbag leprechauns defensive coordinator fall guy.

Expect Kelly to ride a NFL paycheck till a desperate P5 college program (bets on one of the lower tier tSEC programs who won't give a rip on winning the yearly Fulmer cup) makes the call.

York/Baalke = Saddam Hussien and the current Kim from NK running a country. Same results.

Amazing how fucked up that franchise is.
Spent decades trying to get a new stadium. They finally put one in one of the most affluent areas of Cali, and they end up a trainwreck.
