what an awful penalty. Give me a break with these TARGETING PENALTIES

If not targeting it was at least spearing. That's been against the rules for decades.

How do you not throw that away?

I think that all the time too.

But he's running full speed against his body with 290lb dudes approaching and he has to get the ball past the line of scrimmage. Conclusion I've come to is it's just not as easy as it looks.

ITT, a bunch of people who haven't watched college football this year. That targeting couldn't have been more clear based on rules and precedent.

Yes, this has been a focus this year, and if anything is even close, they eject the player.

My point is, this whole campaign is flawed.

Well, he does. You weren't winning this game with him anyways. He just lost millions you selfish ahole.

He's gonna get a fine rookie paycheck, dufus. You do realize there's a rookie cap, right? He'll cap out, regardless of injury.

The problem is when ND does the same thing it won't be called

You know the game had to be close for ratings and they have to protect that

Yes you can't spear like that. That is the rule. It was 100% a penalty. I hate the ejection part of it.

This ^. The ejection part sucks, but spearing, especially so blatantly, has been against the rules for as long as I've been following the game.

Who the hell cares about his damn draft status?

We need him in this game and it ain't happening now. That's the real news and what matters.
he does. He has worked hard and now if it is a bad injury will drop out of the top 10. he will now be a late 1st maybe early 2nd.

The rookie pay is slotted. I know the pay. You don't. He just lost millions if he tore something. The difference between the 1st pick and the last pick in the first round in 2015 was 15 million.

You were wrong.

You don't know where he's gonna go. Stop it.

You really think he's not gonna get a nice payday in the NFL being a rookie?

I'm just concerned with losing him for the Fiesta Bowl. His NFL draft status has no bearing and he'll be fine.

easy for a pussy to sit at his pc and say thyat. how about YOU take the tip of a helmut right in your gut when exposed?

He is playing football. A contact sport. Ejection for a hit in the chest is BS. If it had been a ND player ejected I'm sure you would be crying more than you already are

A new rule should be 1st time warning 2nd thrown out

People tune in to see the best players not have them thrown out

I think you need to stop assuming. You're not a MD. If he is able to be ready by OTA's, he will easily be a first round pick.

I don't think anyone disagrees bout the ejection part. Point is it what a penalty either way. If not targeting it was personal foul/roughing the passer
