Am I crazy to think the Saints can make the playoffs?

Schedule gets really soft now. They got 3 more AFC South teams which should be 2 wins at least, if not 3 wins. Most of their remaining tough games are in New Orleans where they seem to have gotten their swagger back. Here is the rest of the schedule.

VS NYG
VS TEN
@ WSH
BYE
@ HOU
VS CAR
@ TAMPA
VS DET
VS JACKSONVILLE
@ATL

THoughts? 9-7 is possible which I think will be the record needed for the 2nd WC

Saints have definitely played much better the past two weeks than they did in their loss at Philly. I remember seeing a graphic showing the number of snaps taken by rookie defenders and the Saints led the league by a large margin. Maybe some of those youngsters are growing up a bit.

I think they beat giants or Carolina
i can say with confidence that these saints will not win all the games they are expected to win.....and conversely they wont lose all the games they expected to lose either. probably go 8-8 at best

They have appeared to turn a slight corner so it is possible.

9-7 gets you a big stuffed animal this year in the NFC (ATL, MIN, SEA, STL, PHI, ARZ). I figure the Hawks' best shot at the playoffs is to win the division. Just my opinion, I have not perused all of the contenders' schedules.

They're going to win just enough games to ruin their chances for a new young QB.

Yeah agree. I can see them losing unexpectedly to Washington or Houston and probably beating NYG or Carolina. 8-8 is likely but 9-7 is not so far fetched..........10-6 is a huge reach

Possible. Right now Minnesota is in the 6 spot but Saints are only 2 behind and schedule is easier. Probably going to need to get to 10-6 though. I think 8-8 but 10-6 isn't impossible

Possible

Falcons are as fake as can be........That would have been a key loss for the Saints if the Titans pulled that out

Panthers, im amazed they still get it done

Vikings wont be going away, that team is very interesting

Yes you are crazy.

That defense is still a flaming pile of garbage and the offense is nothing more than solid. They won't finish over 500.

They have a chance in the next month or so with some easier games coming up here to improve on that 4-2 record.

....but they also are a team with the way the schedule lines up that will have to play pretty well to go 2-4 in their final 6 games.

That final run will probably keep them out of the playoffs unless they can figure a way to get that offense playing better.

The Panthers, Falcons, and Saints have pretty close to the same easy schedule. I don't think that's a huge factor here. Either Atlanta or Carolina need to hit a bad skid for New Orleans to have a shot at the division. For a wild card spot the Saints still need to be able to have a better record than Minnesota, St. Louis, Seattle, Chicago, Washington, and Philadelphia. Some of those teams have pretty favorable schedules along with more wins right now.

I think division title is out of the picture but WC is up for grabs. Of those teams you mentioned for the WC race, only one of those teams have more wins than the Saints which is Minnesota. The other teams all has 3 wins and in Chicago case they have 2 wins

I thought it was over for NO...did not think they would win yesterday either so what do I know? I won't say you're crazy, but they need a lot of help...MIN and & ATL have firm grips on the 5 & 6 seed right now...if ATL split with CAR, then most likely they will take one WC spot at the very least.
