I fell for that speech, too! I drafted him late and did OK with that first start in Philly. I have since dropped him, however. Fuckin' Rock.

I usually have him on one of teams, because you can usually get him cheap or free, and he is really, really good sometimes. Seems like in any given season, he's either really good and injured, or really shitty and healthy.

BP said of him, "Buchholz has truly entered the Tyson Zone for pitchers, wherein a two-out, 11-run performance and a perfect game seem equally feasible outcomes every time he toes the rubber.

I had him on two of my teams this year, but he's been dropped by both.

This Galvis kid for Philly is trying to challenge Kevin Maas for most open batting stance.
Does it look as cool as this though?

How could you even swing with that stance? And how did you develop that stance?
Absolutely no clue. I almost think the guy is trying to get out of the way of a pitch. But it's funnier as a batting stance.

It's hard for a pitcher to be funny before delivering a pitch, but Craig Kimbrel manages to do it.

They might be pretty close to removing him from the rotation at some point here. You can't have a guy give up 5-6 runs every time out and still hope to keep his job.

LOL. I'm still a bit surprised you missed my "rat race" comment the other day. You never whiff on those...

My mammorie ain't so good no more. But aren't you mixing up episodes? Wasn't it Smithers who said the Subway ran over his hat?

On the MLB level, I remember Willie Mays Aikens as having a real strange batting stance

Well, if that's the litmus test, the Red Sox might be pretty close to removing their rotation from the rotation at some point here.

No, sir. It was Flanders in "King Sized Homer"

Homer puts on a record and dance music fills the air. He and Marge
begin to dance as Flanders pulls into his driveway and walks by, looking
haggard.
Flanders: [moaning] Ohh...
Homer: Hey, Flanders. Bad day at the rat races?
Flanders: Yeah, a crazy guy shot a bunch of people and the subway ran
over my hat.

They hustled El Tiante out of his sandwich stand and into the pen to warm up a few days ago
