My son watched Sandlot for the first time a few weeks ago. Then he found out there was a Sandlot 2 on Netflix. I begged him not to bother with it, but he wouldn't listen.

My daughter kept going, "This is EXACTLY the same stinkin movie, just with worse actors!"

I actually proposed the bet. I felt pretty good about the matchups and thought it would make it interesting.

It was a week bet, but I'm in Vegas next Monday through Sunday and will not be posting much if at all, so I'll probably sport it until 5/12 or something so that it's fair.

Cardinals purchased the contract of LHP Tim Cooney from Triple-A Memphis.
The 24-year-old left-hander will make his major league debut on Thursday afternoon against the Phillies and he could stick around for a bit if the outing goes well. Cooney owns a 3.49 ERA, 1.28 WHIP, and 133/52 K/BB ratio in 175 1/3 career innings at the Triple-A level and carries some deep-league fantasy value on a good Cardinals team. He's filling in for staff ace Adam Wainwright, who is set to undergo season-ending surgery for a ruptured Achilles tendon.

I bought Slink Jr a copy of Sandlot a couple months ago. He played and liked baseball before it, but he's fucking HOOKED on it now. Says shit to me like, "Dad, I just can't stop thinking about playing baseball."
