I Hate the Yankees!

As far as this thread is concerned you sir need to step the fuck back. The point of the OP is simple. When you are a dominate team for years and years you end up being hated. Anyone who is a Yankee fan knows this first hand. Now we Pats fans are in the same boat.

The difference is that back when the Yankees mattered the social media outlet was far less looked at or even at all. Now you have tweeting douchebags who can get away with saying anything they want and dopes like some considering it is gospel.

The NFL has NOT ruled on anything yet but all you mouth breathers continue to start thread after thread condemning anyone who is a Pats fan to death or w/e.

I actually have mostly steered clear of most of the garbage in this forum but enough is enough. If and when the NFL strikes down and bans or suspends Brady or BB then I will accept it and think they must have found something. Until then all the so called experts are just musing for the TV time and all in this forum are no better.

There is a history with the Patriots and cheating. Don't blame innocent bystanders. If the Patriots didn't have that stigma, then they would just be considered a great team. You can question everyone else, but the real people you need to question are members of the Patriots.

I have hated the Yankees since I was a kid. Bosox had not won in a century and it was usually the Yankees that knocked 'em out. The Yankees were irrelevant this last year and we have won 3 titles recently.
But I still hate them.

Raiders hate the Patriots because we beat them on our way to a SB
Rams hate us because we beat them in SB
Panthers GM talking hatred because we beat them in SB
Denver trolls talk shit because Brady is still winning playoff games and Manning can't seem to
Baltimore just got out-smarted and out toughed on our run to this SB
Aikman cares about his record and is jealous of Brady
Brunnell is an ex-titan and we knocked them out of the playoffs on our way to the SB
Indy's GM has shown some class but do you think he likes the Pats?
San Diego hates us because we danced on their mid-field logo on the way to the SB
Jets, Miami, and Buffalo hate us - really?

It seems the only teams / fans that hate us are the teams we have beaten - get the picture????

I hate the Yankees and Patriots because I'm a Mets and Bills fan.

I always found the oh we beat them way back in 19 whatever it was and they hate us for it. I seriously doubt that would be the only reason why. I don't hate the As for beating the Mets in 72 or even the kings for beating the Rangers. As Sox fans do you still hate the Mets for 86.

I don't hate the Mets. The Buckner thing was tragic. He should not have been in the game. McNamara did not like Stapleton. None of us knew at the time but Stapleton was the "guy in the clubhouse" rumored to be the one responsible for bring drugs into the clubhouse.....

Can you name one team that has had the same success in the past 15 years? No most Sox fans don`t hate the Mets. Billy Buckner maybe. The Mets are irrelevant so no one cares about them except Met fans.

Cards spurs OKC Packers Blackhawks all are not as universally hated as the Pats. If you think about it they shouldn't be hated Pats haven't won a Superbowl in about ten years and only reason they have been to the playoffs is because the AFC East has been so bad for so long.

In a perverted sense, I get that. I kinda enjoyed rooting for the Giants more in 87, 89, 93, etc more because we got a taste, but we also knew there was more. I still wanted to win, because I had never tasted it before.

Now, I EXPECT to win, and the high just isn't the same. 2012 and 2014 did not come CLOSE to the feeling I had in 2010.

If you are so inclined then please do. What is your point anyway? Did I say anywhere I only dislike teams that cheat? I am simply posting my opinion of the Patriots in threads directed toward the Patriots? I don't like NFC west teams for obvious reasons, I don't like the Cowboys because they are the Cowboys, I don't like the Eagles because of a very bad personal experience I had at an Eagle game in Philly, I don't like the Steelers because they beat my Cardinals in the SB I don't like any team the week before the Cards play them and I don't like the Patriots because they cheat.

I don't disagree with the OP's point, but I think it is a stretch to think the only reason people are hating on the Patriots is because they are division rivals or they lost to them in some game or because they are the winning-est team over the past years.

I travel throughout the country extensively for my job and in those travels I have hit many drinking establishments mostly of the sports variety. I talk sports with random people from random cities pretty much weekly. I am not exaggerating when I say: Whenever the topic of the Patriots comes up before and after the deflated football scandal, the overwhelming majority of non-New England sports fans say they dislike them (in many colorful varieties) because they have been busted for cheating. I don't know why that is so hard for some people to grasp. Is it really that hard to believe?

Again, I don't know what point you are trying to make, but I don't like this era of the Patriots because of their history in cheating.
