People mentioned Hoke's "inability" to develop elite talent, but what they are forget said talent is still at most RS sophomores/juniors! Shouldn't he have a chance to do the thing you are criticizing him of not doing? It's like criticizing someone for being a bad driver, before they've even started the car.

Not to be a fly in your ointment, but...at elite programs these redshirt sophs and juniors are no longer with the program...they are 1st round NFL picks.

This Hokes 4th season and he has repeatedly recruited O-Line but a redshirt freshman is starting at LT?

The O-Line with all Juniors and sophomores should be able to run block.

By the Junior season the recruits should be known commodities not a cluster looking to see who will step up. Again if Hoke just has his team ready to play and losses competitive games he gets time. As long as he doesn't give the true fans don't complain bullshit!

As for last seasons OSU game....yes the offense looked really good and the defense looked really bad. Averages out to a mediocre performance at best and they lost. Not to mention the 2 point conversion try when they were the home team and most experts give OT advantage to the home team.

Or they have been run off by the coach in order to make room for the next batch of recruits he has oversigned.

Hoke is doing fine.

Relax.

He needs more time.
I respectfully disagree. He has had a reasonable amount of time to be evaluated. That being said, its two games and a lot of football is yet to be played. I am not suggesting that he be fired now, tomorrow or even at all during the season.

What I am suggesting is that THIS season should be the deciding factor on his future. I really don't care about losing to ND. Yea, everyone wants to win the supposed "last game" for bragging rights but my question to TRUE Michigan fans is would you trade losing to ND in Sept for beating Oh St in November?

Yea you would!

How many of them have RS Sophomores and Juniors contributing in meaningful capacities? How many RS Sophomores and especially Juniors get labeled potential first round picks?

If you have guys who are in their 3rd year in a program and they aren't ready to compete, either they don't belong on the roster in the first place or maybe the coaching staff can't develop talent. And if you can't understand that, then we have nothing to discuss.

By the 4th year, you either can see it's going to work or you can't.
If, by the 4th year, you are using terms like 'player development takes time' and pointing out things that happened 'years ago' and using examples from programs that 'have never done anything',,,,,,

IT'S OVER.

1 in 10 people would say this is confirmation bias. But we all know one person who is a complete moron, so that fool is accounted for.

Time to revisit Hoke must Go.

Losing the Little Brown Jug as your offense looks lost! And your defense gets pushed around. Truly remarkable the lack of talent. A top 25 team would just humiliate UofM. Hoke is so clearly out of his depth my only question is do you start the job search now or wait tip the end of the year!

I've been watching Hoke since you guys hired him.
He isn't close to what you guys need.
You should have fired him at the end of last year.

It was obvious to everyone not a Michigan fan, starting in year 2 he was lost and had no plan.
Pull the trigger tomorrow and get it over with.

You have to keep Hoke until the end of the season at least. Just nothing else to do at this point.

Honestly, I think Bret Bielema might also be someone you reach out when the coaching search begins.

You have to give him four more yrs to develope his talent :pound:

At least thats what bluenavypuke guy was always saying.

Well so much for shano mac being the savior. He looked worse than gardner. Wow what a mess. All those 4-5 star recruits losing to utah and minny.

Shane Norris made a huge mistake signing with Michigan. The coaching staff just served him up on a cold paper plate. He needs to think about getting the fuck out of Ann Arbor in a hurry.

Michigan Football is a steaming pile of shit right now.
No other way to put it.

And why not fire Hoke tomorrow? Why let him continue this farce for the rest of the year.
At least Michigan would have a huge head start in their Coaching Search, which is obviously what they need seeing as the last 2 hires have been complete garbage.

The Wolverines are going to have to throw absurd money at someone with name recognition. Chucky, Mad Hatter, The Chin, or even the sweater vest!

Which sweater vest?

Sadly, there's more than one now.

Wouldn't touch Tressel with a 10 ft pole. He has a cushy job as President of Youngstown State, a position that he is no way shape or form qualified for but YSU cares more about the football games he won there versus having an academic leader who is appropriately qualified.

Additionally, any team that hires him automatically incurs NCAA sanctions.

No thanks

Hokje is doing a shit job but at some point you need to look at the players too. Im sorry I know they are college kids and all but why is it that we always give the guys that actually play the game free passes?? IF Michigan is as talented as their recruiting rankings indicate ( which I severely doubt they are ) then these guys should be beating teams like Utah and Minnesota even with substandard coaching. Instead they are getting throttled by double digits at home. Time for UM to sack up and play football. Coach talk is great but the players are the first line and need to start playing like it.
