Bogut may not be quite max contract skill level but when you can't teach 7' some one will always give him $14m per year.

@BK Bosh is 29 and will be 30 in the offseason. Pau got a lot of money into his old age, so would Bosh.

Bosh is a better shooter/ defender. Love is a better rebounder.
Bosh is not a better shooter than Love...and both of them are iffy on defense

Actually Bosh is a better shooter. He is a roughly 50% shooter for his career compared to Love who is a 45% shooter and it's not like one play inside while the other play outside as both are jump shooters so yeah that eliminates that. Love is a better 3 pt shooter in terms of career but Bosh 3 pt shooting has significantly improved so judging it based on this yr numbers, Love have a slight advantage over CB

Love>Bosh

Bosh has gotten his piggy back titles.

He will get a big contract and mail the rest of his career in.

Love is still hungry

I don't think anyone here is saying Bosh>Love.

But to say Love is a better shooter when all the numbers prove that is not true is something I'll aruge for Bosh everyday.

To be 5% higher than someone is pretty significant....It's not like one is 45% and the other is 46%.

The only ones truly worthy of a max contract should be Lebron, Durant, and CP3

Everyone else should be a tier below and that's where guys like Dwight, Steph Curry, Blake, Melo, Anthony Davis fits in.

CB would be in the tier after that

But deserving and actual contract numbers are never the same. If CB tested the market he would get max money from somebody.

Bosh is certainly a top 15-20 NBA player. But that certainly doesn't qualify as deserving a max contract. There are only a handful of players in the league that "deserve" a max deal - Lebron James, Kevin Durant, Carmelo Anthony and Chris Paul (maybe I'm forgetting a name or two).

Bosh does provide a unique offensive set which allows the Heat to spread the floor which opens lanes up for Lebron and Wade to drive to the paint and kick out to open shooters if given the option.

But Bosh is not a max deal player. His defense is average for a big man, but his rebounding is atrocious for someone with his size. He also doesn't have the frame to bang down low with big men, most noticeably David West. Check the stats from the ECF and you'll see that Bosh was outplayed in that series and is arguably the main reason outside of Wade's bad knee and why that series went 7.

I love that Bosh is on the Heat and I'll continue to cheer for him. But I'm not going to put my homer glasses on and act like he's the 2nd coming of Karl Malone.

So is Pau Gasol worth a max contract too? $25 mill +?

Gasols stats are better than Bosh's. He must be worth at least $30 mil then.

Name any NBA player with Boshs credentials who wasn't offered a max.
He's a 9 time current all star still in the prime of his career.
He plays under the rules of the NBA which don't allow the mega stars to be offered A Rod type MLB contracts.

In the NBA, those players make the make it up with off court endorsements.

With me, it keeps going back to the same thing, which is, by any NBA standard he is a max salary player.

If Bosh opts out this summer and tests the market, he will be offered a max.
Gasol will be a FA and won't command anything even close to a max.

Your asked question has now been answered.
Watch and see.
It's only a few months away.

:lame:

Only the Heat fans believe he's a max player.

He did fuck all in Toronto and only won titles because of lebron and wade. At least when Gasol won his rings he was a huge part of the team.

About time a few got their head of of their ass and smelled the real world.

So you feel what Bosh contributes isn't a huge reason for the Heats success?
He isn't a huge part of the team?

Maybe you should actually watch some Heat games if that is your opinion.
Bosh might not kick your ass in a conventional 7 footer way, but his versatility allows the Heat to create some severe mismatches by using his talents to space the floor.

And only Heat fans?

I didn't know other NBA owners were only Heat fans.

Same question to you,
Name ANY other NBA player with Boshs credentials who isn't/ wasn't offered max money.

I think I found Hooplas version of CBS's Mamba:agree:

Pau Gasol. Plus at 33 Pau is putting up better stats than Bosh is at 29 now

Is Pau worth the $25 million a year you guys think Bosh is worth?

Who exactly? Which idiot is willing to give Bosh a $20 mill + contract?

Last FA, the Raptors did, and every other team that he met with, I believe.
How about the Bulls?
Look what they offered Boozer.
I forgot who else he met with.

I think he stays here next year, but if not, watch and see.

There is ZERO teams willing to give a 31 year old Chris Bosh a max contract deal.
That is delusional HEAT fan homerism.

he is due to make 22 million from the HEAT over the following two season.
That is grossly overpaying his value.
To somehow suggest that other teams would be willing to match it is absurd homerism to defend a bad contract.

He is a decent player. But, at age 31 with likely declining skills, no team is going to decide to make him their centerpiece.
He doesn't sell tickets or sell jerseys, so there is no hidden financial boom either.

He might command 10-14 million on a long term deal....or slightly higher on a shorter deal.

Either way, he is not walking away from 22 million with the HEAT.
