By the way, this is something I don't think he's ever going to fix. If he's still doing it at this point he's probably going to do it the rest of his career unfortunately.

He's gonna have to make up for it by working on his touch passes, getting the play in on time & surveying the field quickly enough to be able to settle down & make intermediate throws that aren't rushed (and thus more accurate). If anyone can get him to do so it's Jim.

Has there ever been a QB that has changed his mechanics during his NFL career? Plenty of baseball pitchers have done it in their careers, but they have the luxury of spring training and the long regular season to work the kinks out. Not to mention the opportunity of going to the minors leagues if need be.

Interesting stat......since the week 14 loss to the Niners, Wilson has been holding the ball on average 4.5 seconds per drop back. That's an eternity.

And that doesn't mean his blocking is good.....wrong conclusion.

All the more reason to jam the WRs, hold the edge and he won't be able to do anything. Just my opinion

Player to watch today.....Iupati. ESPN was showing a segment where they commented he's currently the weak link in pass blocking. Poor footwork (they called it heavy feet) leads to him getting beat.

I'm not enough of an expert to say either way but their film examples were compelling. Let's watch him closely today.

They showed the same thing on NFL Network. The guy is getting knocked over and tends to move real slow. Hope he picks up his game today.

I have not read this whole thread, so sorry if this is already here. But I just heard on NFL Network that Harbaugh when in San Diego recruited Carrol's son. The son turned it down to go to USC. I'm not sure if his son went to USC before his dad was coach.

I think it's more of the NFL wanting the refs to not let the game get too chippy like the Panthers 9ers game was last week.

I don't think it has anything to do with the regular penalties like holding, PI, etc.

I read it that way as well. There were some missed calls in that game but they are missed calls in any game all I want is for the Refs to call the game evenly on both sides of the ball. Either tight or loose just be consistent with the call and I will be happy.
