You 100% did. You're acting like he thought his QB was gone so he had to leave, as if it was his own doing he was offered those obvious promotions. If he left BG to go coach at Otterbein, you'd have a point. He made upward moves every single time. He wasn't in control of when he was offered these promotions. His pattern is no different whatsoever than other coaches who have left positions to go to a better one, you're just singling out Meyer and acting like it's different because you dislike him.

I don't need to defend his past. I do not care about his tenure at Florida. He's been at OSU now for 2 years. The recruiting is phenomenal, the discipline has been fine and we've won 24 of 25 games. There is no "great possibility" that he'd leave to go to ND. First off, he grew up an OSU fan and attended the school. This is where he wants to be. Secondly, that wouldn't be an upward move in any capacity. OSU is more attractive than ND right now, so it wouldn't fit his history of pursuing better opportunities.

I never insinuated anything. I do not insinuate. I speak what I mean. Yes he could not control what teams offered him what, but he sure as hell could have stayed at say BGSU for more than 2 yrs. Oh and you act like he did not ACTIVELY INTERVIEW for those other positions. They were not just given to him on a platter. He went and actively interviewed for them. Utah and UF did not just all him and say the job is yours if you want it. They interviewed multiple people. You are seriously acting like his moving upward was because schools just gave him the job without interviewing other coaches o even himself. So the fact that he interviewed I will now say YES he ACTIVELY looked for better positions.

To the ND thing he is on record numerous times that ND is his dream job. IF ND come calling OSU does not have the money to fight with ND. So if he does get ND coming to him and he does stay ay OSU he likes it there.

Some people have a thing called loyalty. That is all can say. When you leave every single position and constantly have feelers out for a new position.

Actually Bobby stayed at WVU for 6 years and went to an even WORSE program than WVU was at the time. So please tell me again how he went to a "Better program".

Not every coach actively keeps feelers out man. It is more prevelant now because of the what have you done for me lately. Urban could have stayed at UF for long time had he recruited the QB to run his offense. And to claim that during the BCS era that UF is a second rate school is laughable.

ND has more readily available cash than OSU and by a wide margin. These are the revenues and expenses for both this year in football.

Ohio State $34,026,871 $58,112,270

Notre Dame $25,757,968 $68,986,659


The dollar on the left are their football expenses. The right is their Revenue. OSU has a profit of around $24 million. ND has a profit of around $43 million. Just in football revenue alone ND can pay more for a coach. If they want someone they can buy them at will. That is not including their boosters and what not. Also ND is paying their current coach and two ex coaches as well.
