The best version of Julius Peppers is 10,000,000 X better than the best version of Jared Allen. Not even close, and adding the word "sissy" to describe Allen compared to the beast that is Julius Peppers is quite true indeed sir PredatorPeppers.

Well said mate. :suds:

Any other NFL players have family posting on the Hoop or just Peppers?

Quiet Peppers spices up Carolina defense - USATODAY.com

But Wallace thinks his teammate will ultimately validate the Taylor comparisons and carve his own path to Canton: "To be in this locker room with him, to see the things he's capable of ... most of us realize now we're in a very rare moment in time when we get to play with a guy who, one day, is going to own one of those nice yellow (Hall of Fame) jackets."

Pass-rushing specialist Julius Peppers right fit for Packers - CBSSports.com

and I will admit I wondered if it might take a while before a team met his asking price -- the answer was a resounding no. Peppers' agent, Carl Carey, was unwavering that eight teams expressed interest in the future Hall of Famer (that's a quarter of the league, folks), and many of them were bearing offers right from the get go upon his release from Chicago on Tuesday due to a high cap number. If anything, the process went incredibly smooth, with the Packers the first visit he made, and Peppers telling Carey very shortly upon his arrival that this is where he wanted to be.

Julius Peppers aims to win his first title | New York Post

Time is running out on Julius Peppers, one of the best players of his generation.
The 34-year-old defensive end is in his 13th NFL season, his first with the Packers. He was brought to Green Bay to be the missing piece to the defensive puzzle.

An eight-time Pro Bowler and member of the All-Decade team for the 2000s, Peppers could put a bow on his Hall of Fame career with a long-awaited Super Bowl ring. But he has to get past the Seahawks first.

Green Bay's Julius Peppers has done everything but get a ring - Newsday

But he didn't come to Green Bay to pad his Hall of Fame-caliber statistics. He wants the one thing that has eluded him: a championship.

Armour: Julius Peppers quietly sets Packers' tone

Frugal with his words, Julius Peppers doesn't waste them on trash talking.

For that, the Chicago Bears should be extremely grateful.

The Bears, you see, cut Peppers loose after last season, believing that, at 34, his best days were behind him. Peppers signed with Chicago's NFC North rival Green Bay Packers and, if you've been paying any attention, you know who got the better end of that deal.

While the Bears spent January searching for a new general manager and coach after another season of ineptitude, a rejuvenated Peppers was helping the Packers reach this weekend's NFC Championship Game. He's no bit part, either, forcing a DeMarco Murray fumble that changed the course of the divisional-round win against the Dallas Cowboys last Sunday.

"Big difference. I'm happy a guy like that is on my team," Packers cornerback Sam Shields said. "The rush, the speed, getting the turnovers from the quarterback — that's what we need. He's been a hell of a guy for us throughout the season."

Bulaga shot a glance across the locker room. Julius Peppers didn’t know it, but the Packers outside linebacker was vital to Bulaga’s recovery. Going against the future Hall of Famer every day in practice simulated what he’d face during games, and then some.

There are a million more articles like these but you get the point, Peppers is an all time great, and sure fire future First Ballot Hall of Famer.

I read all of those when they first came out. I watched every game Pep played for Carolina, and every game he play at UNC. I remember these plays vividly.

What I am telling you is while peppers was a top DE in the NFL and could really do anything. He never truly reached his full potential. The man should have averaged 12 to 16 sacks a year. In the 10-12 that he actually is.

If you are asking is Peppers the most physically gifted DE to ever play then the answer is yes and not by a narrow margin. However peppers at this point should be top 10 or better in sacks, but he is not. On sheer talent yes Peppers is probably the best defensive player to ever play, there can be arguments made variously of course but whatever. However, statistically Peppers does not measure up like he should be.

Nobody is saying he wasn't a great player and will prolly be a hall of famer on day.

What 1940's typewriter did you use to type this up?

The Steelers franchise probably has the best line up of defensive players ever, that being said, the only one possibly above Peppers is Joe Greene. And we'll have to see but I believe Peppers could pass him on the all time greats list as well if he continues to play well for a few more seasons.

Peppers has an AV (approximate value higher than any of these guys not named Rod Woodson, and very well could pass him by the time he retires. Come to think of it, I'd take Peppers over any of these chumps.

You just called Jack Lambert a chump. :L

Not that Peppers and Lambert would have ever came face to face in a game but I can see Lambert chewing Peppers up and shitting him out on the field.

Oooh, Pepper shits, ouch.
