It absolutely will. UW has been great on the road, and Nebraska has been great at home. It will be a great atmosphere, hopefully it will translate well to the broadcast.

Huskers neeed to play up to that Big 10 #2 defense ranking, keep their turnovers under 10, and Petteway needs to get back to how he was shooting 3 weeks ago.

Wisconsin's playing for a #1 seed and Nebraska's playing just to get iinto the tourney.

Well they had him the first time they lost to Nebraska.

Noah Vonleh

27 Minutes
FGM 3-5
3PM 0-0
FTM 1-2
O-REB 1
D-REB 2
Assists 0
Steals 0
Blocks 0
Turnovers 5
Fouls 3
Points 7

Hell of an outing there.

That was @Nebraska

Indiana is a completely different team at home. Without Vonleh, Indiana turns to Jeff Howard. Big loss

I agree, but we put the best team we could on the court at the time, not Nebraska's fault. If the season ended now they'd be in the tourny, so no reason to discredit them.

If IU can't make the tourny because we lost one player it's our own fault.

Wisconsin's won 8 in a row, but I think that's a bit deceiving.

Deceiving how? Eight straight in the Big 10 this season, including wins over the top 3 teams (2 of which were on the road) is simply not one bit "deceiving." Nor was the 16-0 streak where they took care of Florida, St Louis, Virginia, and so on. Nor was the stretch in the middle where Northwestern knocked them off and they couldn't buy a basket. The fact is, this team can literally beat anyone in the country when all cylanders are firing; it can also, like most teams, lose to much inferior competition when on a skid.

Please don't pretend that Nebraska is in any way in the class of Wisconsin, Michigan, or Michigan State; it isn't, period. Wisconsin has arguably the toughest schedule in the country this year, and they have 25 wins, including going 7-1 against the current top 25. Can Nebraska win this weekend? Sure, they have everything to play for in the confines of their home gym, whereas Wisconsin has very little to prove until the tournament at this point, and Nebraska has been playing very good defense as of late.

I like the Nebraska story and am rooting for them (outside vs WI), but let's not go overboard with this shit, OK? Just makes you look silly.

Well there's no doubt about that.

I think we've both agreed throughout the season that we're tired of Crean. Just a completely uninspired team and a total lack of in game adjustments. Plus the guy looks like Dwight Schrute from The Office

I know you and another Nebraska poster were saying Pettway has been a little banged up and has been cold for a little while, but I'm still nervous about him and Shields.

I'm not sure a 1 seed is possible for UW, it would take a lot of outside help, and winning the conference tournament. Not saying it's not possible, just that I think a 2 seed is the more reasonable landing spot. I believe that this game is far more important for Nebraska(not saying UW will be overlooking, just that a Nebraska win puts them in a far better position). It will be a lot of fun to watch.

Almost every scenario here on out gives them a #2 in Milwaukee, win or lose; A #1 is only possible with the above, winning out all the way + lots of help. This game is close to meaningless, outside of always wanting to win games, for the Badgers; it's the biggest game since before we were all born for the Huskers. Because of that, I'd still put my money on Wisconsin, but it would not be a surprise at all if Nebraska came away with the victory. If these teams met in the Big Dance, Nebraska would get clobbered.

The worst part is seeing sheehey through these past few games , the kid is an above average college player who plays wayy below his potential. I know the girl who is dating Noah and she's adamant that he will stay for a second season and save Crean. But as everyone agrees that's the only thing that will.

It's been very disappointing seeing Sheehey this year, I definitely expected more from him.

If Vonleh does leave, it's bye bye Crean. Obviously I don't want to see another transition period, but I'd like to see Crean go. Someone get Brad Stevens on the God damn phone!

Oh for sure, but I don't see him going anywhere as long as he's an NBA head coach.

You're under 16?

You're not supposed to be posting here under 18. Thanks for admitting that.

He's a great coach, but he's not cut out for the NBA. He coaches a college style game.

I just looked up the Celtics record, 20-41. How long does he stay in the NBA? Let's say Boston has another bad season next year, and IU struggles again, do the stars align? I'm pretty sure I read that he grew up an IU fan.

Wrong what?

This is Nebraska's biggest game since 1998. If they make the tournament and make it to the 2nd round, then that will be the "biggest game" since we were all born. It's the biggest game since 1998. Even that's debatable considering Nebraska won 20 games in 2008. This is just for win 19.

the gravity of this situation.. Coach in 2nd year, first year in new arena, greatness of B1G conference, playing top 10 team in last game of regular season with tourny hopes on the line

I don't think we played a bigger game single game in 1998

I mean, I'm not gonna live in the past.....

This game is going to be the biggest game of my life on Sunday simply because I can't think of a bigger Husker game in any sport in the past year.

Tourney hopes?

They've been past tourney hopes in their history. They've played in the tournament before. Playing an NCAA tournament game is bigger than this game.

It would take winning an NCAA tournament game to be the biggest game in Husker history.

When was the last time a team that won the B1G regular season won the B1G tournament? OSU in 2007 or MSU? Usually doesn't happen in this conference but I'm hoping Michigan makes it to Saturday or even Sunday..
