yup, Stanford could have scored a lot more than they did.

True.

And so could Oregon have.

They lost a fumble inside the 5, missed a wide open td, and failed a 4th down conversion inside the 5.

Just couldn't get it done.

it was a poorly coached game. Started back when we didn't take the FG on that early drive.

You missed his point - their winning resume is better than anyone - that loss will probably keep them out - but their winning resume is the best. That was his point

I understand what he was trying to say. He was trying to justify Stanford being in the national Chamionship conversation, but they are NOT in the national championship conversation when there are at least 2 undefeated teams out there. All that "they didn't play Stanford football against Utah" is a bunch of shit. They played and they lost.

Stanfords defense is just so tough to score.on

They make you work your way down the field

Then force turnovers, or make you want to go for it on.4th down.where.they stop you

You are correct, this game was more about Stanford kicking Oregon's ass than it was Oregon imploding. Stanford's o-line pummeled the hell out of Oregon's front 7 and kept Oregon's O on the sidelines. It's hard to get in sync on O when you sit on the sidelines for 20 minutes while the other team has the ball. Then turning the ball back over to that O after about 5 minutes makes it really tough on the D. Stanford dominated this game except the last 4 minutes, by then it was too late. I believe all the credit goes to Stanford's team, their offense, defense and special teams did a great job until about 4 minutes left, but they pulled it together in the end to earn a W.

One sad thing is the score doesn't show how much of a beating this game was, and the idiot voters that didn't watch and read a box score....just sad

Hey now, we can't have you talking about the coaches like that.

Ok, but your players still got their asses kicked, or were you watching something other than this game?

There were a lot of arrogant Duck fans not even worried about his game. Hell, they were going to even cover easy! Maybe time of possession should matter? That was one tired ass defense. If kicker doesn't kick the ball Dick high games not even close!

Washington is miles and mile and mile and miles and miles and mile away from any type of championship game. What does it say when a team has lost ten in a row to another and they post this:

Nothing but Jelly

It says we still have championships and you have 0

And you all can keep on making it about us. That's just fine with me. Brings an even bigger smile to my face. I drink those tears with pleasure.

That annoying moment when you read a comment and you're not sure why you're reading it and you can't stop reading it even though it has no specific meaning and is completely irrelevant and pointless to what the thread contains.

This thing isn't guaranteed yet. Like I said many times, FSU STILL might play Miami again in the ACC title game. The second time around might be closer than everyone thinks. A Bama/FSU title game isn't guaranteed.
