The new system, if approved by the presidents, will keep semifinals in the existing bowls, most likely on a predetermined, rotating basis. It's hard not to envision the Rose Bowl being a national semifinal every other year, at the very least. There's the Rose Bowl, and then there are the other bowls. It's not really close, and it's humorous to hear how some think the Champions Bowl will rival the Rose Bowl. These significant games should be in Pasadena more often than not.

I would say the same for the sugar; the superdome is a POS

Definitely the Rose Bowl & either the Sugar or Orange Bowl, Fiesta Bowl can fade away.

I feel the same way. The Rose Bowl is definitely the one with the most tradition. It's the grandad of these bowls. It's also in a great location spot. Stadium is great for it.

I would say Sugar for the reason SEC is affiliated with them. I think Orange Bowl has a more appealing location and I do enjoy stadium games. As I think about it, I'm starting to think Orange Bowl would be a better one.

It is likely going to be a different setup, per my source. Look for cities to vie for the semifinals and finals. These will include LA, Dallas, Atlanta, NO, Tempe, Miami etc....

Go to the highest bidder?

That's what they've been saying.

The current 4 BCS games would rotate the semi-finals.

In essence two of the 4 BCS games would be much more important than the other two each year and the championship game would be in Dallas... uh I mean the highest bidder... so yeah Dallas.

You mean Jerry Jones would get on T...

uh, I mean Cowboy Stadium would get on TV?

Jerryworld and the Rose Bowl should start things off.

If ATL gets the new stadium they are discussing, they will be near the top of most lists.

cant say i am a fan of those drawings......it isnt going to be opened on one end is it?

Doubt it. I don't even know the legitimacy of the drawings.

All the talk I've heard is of a retractable roof stadium.

Looks like a pretty major tax bill for the locals too.
