Hard to imagine any team trading up to grab Carter and if they do, we would need to understand why.
Media has played him up as the best DT in the draft and a push-the-pocket DT at that. Once the top QBs are off the board he'll be a tempting draft target that has gotten more hype than the QBs this draft.

I think the Raiders are going QB 100% - just to gain some market publicity and fill the seats in Vegas, but could be wrong. The Raiders defense was as shitty as ours last year lol.
Raiders and Falcons make the push to 3. AZ in a good spot for a bidding war.

So if a team trades up from under 1.5 to the #3 hole and takes a QB and if picks 1 & 2 were also QBs, what do we think Indy does at 4? Do they take a QB for the sake of taking one, or do they find a trade partner who is in love with the remaining top 4 QB? I think the worst case scenario is Indy gets spooked into trading up 1 spot to essentially swap places with Arizona so they don't miss out on (insert name of QB they like), then the Cards take Carter right in front of us.

This is an absolutely hilarious draft.

So in this mock, BOTH Will Anderson and Jalen Carter are available. So who do they go for Christian Gonzales! And this from a supposed Seahawks beat writer. He then doubles down and picks a Center at #20. Surprised he didn't go full troll and select Robinson at #20.

I have seen a dozen or so mocks with the Hawks drafting a center and half those are John Schmitz. I get picking him but i just don't think you pick him with #20 he will be there in the 2nd! CB #5 and Center #20 is a joke.

Agreed. I'll eat a football if we take a CB and C at #5 and #20.

Kiper's latest was kinda interesting but also not.

#5 - Carter
#20 - Murphy
Trade #37 and #52 to trade up and get Hooker.

I would LOVE Carter/Muprhy as choices. Not so much both 2nd rounders for Hooker.

I'd love Carter/Murphy as well... Not sold on Hooker but I'd understand it if we did go that direction... He's 26yrs old already is the main issue I have w/ that...

I could live with drafting him with one of the 2nd round picks. Honestly there are other guys I would be more interested in but if that's who they like fine. But both 2nds is a pretty high price.

Not only from a Seahawks perspective. Richardson going #1 overall would be the biggest fail since LaMarcus Russell. If Carolina takes Richardson #1 overall, they've all but guaranteed that Chicago will get a top 5 pick next year (if not #1 again).

Yeah it's a pretty terrible. Jack Campbell before Drew Sanders seems pretty unlikely.

I wouldn't trade up for Hooker.

I think he has the arm talent, athleticism and production to justify selecting in the first 3 rounds, but the ACL injury, age, and gimmicky offense he played in are all red flags.

If he was 22 or 21, wasn't coming off an ACL injury and played in a real offense he'd be in first round consideration, but I don't see him as someone I'd take in the first 50 picks.

I wouldn't select Richardson #1, or even in the top 15, but I can see how a team would fall in love with the potential. Personally I don't think he'll reach the ceiling that he has, but it would be tempting when you see a guy with Josh Allen's arm and Cam Newton's running ability.

definitely going to be one of the most interesting drafts in recent memory, nobody seems to have a clue who is going first and we could see 1-4 all be QBs? crazy

No. At 15, that's a risk that many may be willing to take. But at #1 it's a lottery ticket that is almost guaranteed to fail and put them years behind the 8 ball because they traded up to be in that spot.

After signing Andy Dalton, they could let Richardson sit and learn behind him for a year. Nobody thinks he should be starting year one.

I think it would be an awful decision, but I could see why they would consider it. The potential is tantalizing. I also don't think it will happen, just clarifying why I think they would consider it.

if it was a dry QB class I could see it, but there are at least two really good options it that no one would fault you for taking

Might be the first QB class that goes 1,2,3,4 in NFL history. I don't think that qualifies as dry. Last year's QB class was dry.
