Yes success is only measured in championships. When did they start handing out prizes for 2nd place in the NBA? Or beatdowns on the way to the Finals?

Why does this seem like you're taking it so personal? You really think my mind gets made up by certain posters on this board? Give me a break here.

I'm a Lakers fan. We can sweep through the entire Western Conference by a margin of 50 points a game, but if they lost game 7 of the Finals by just one point I won't be happy. That's not a success in my eyes. Nor will it be for thousands of other Lakers fans.

One minute its 'agree to disagree', the next i'm apparently being ridiculous because I don't share your opinion.

How about we call it a night and just accept we don't see eye to eye on the matter and move on?

not trying to take sides or anything here...

I DO have to say that as Lakers fans we are kinda spoiled. we measure success straight up in titles and we're used to it. might be viewed as arrogant by some fan bases but some(I dare sy MOST) of us use that as our measuring stick. anything short of a title is a FAILURE. lol is what it is...

just puttin' it out there...

Townes throws a punch, misses and Embiid takes him to the ground where Simmons makes him tapout from a choke hold.:pound:

I was watching the baseball game so I missed it live. But that's some good action.

That one Cavs championship is worth just as much as the Raptors championship. Nothing more, nothing less.

it may be more important to the people of Cleveland but to the rest of the world they’re exactly the same.

lol you are so salty

Lebron beating the first ever 73 win team in the history of the NBA

The Cavs becoming the first team ever to come back from 3-1

The Cavs only one of a few to win a game 7 on the road

Plus all the records they set including the most 3 pointers ever hit in a series

Everytime the record is brought up of who had the the best regular season record, this will be brought up

Yeah, that will just be a footnote lol

All Championships=the same number of championships, but people remembering or talking about them is vastly different

Stick to cooking

i am kinda worried with the Cavs having 2 wins already.....lol.......they g otta keep that pick.....

freaking Thompson 11/19 23 points, 10 boards and 5 blocks. only 1 turnover and 2 assists.

the Cavs are definitely lacking on wing players- which is the most important position in todays NBA----- but there is no doubt they have a legitimate NBA front court in Love, Thompson and Nance.

the Cavs came back from a 3-1 deficit against possibly the greatest team ever...well they were on their way to be, to end a long championship drought. The Raptors beat that same team without two of their 3 best players. Also, Lebron coming back to Cleveland to fulfill is promise to CLE has a long to do with the importance of that moment. If you cant see a difference...you are just a dumb fool

I would put that right up there with the Syracuse Nationals winning an NBA championship...lol

I'm not

Tanking doesn't even really work. The Lakers got a higher pick then us last year lol

If we are in the playoff hunt by the trade deadline i say keep love and Thompson. If not trade them get another 2-3 picks...As long as you dont make the playoffs you have a good chance of getting a good pick. We knocked like 3-4 years off the rebuild by holding onto Sexton, and loading up those picks tho. I would rather see them keep improving and possibly make the playoffs as a fan

Might be a few overreactions here, but for entertainment purposes :

Towns, Embiid Ejected After 3rd Quarter Fight

Yeah Towns just did a headlock; Towns should be back next game; Embiid should be banned for life

If I were the commissioner I wouldn’t even suspend Karl after looking at this. What are you suppose to do when somebody does an eye gouge on you? That dude is a dirty shit talking bitch for sure.

looks almost planned by embiid.; i would suspend embiid indefinitely. at least a season, minimum.
philly fans and teammates won’t even care. they seemed happy.; wtf.
i’d also suspend simmons. he was all over kat for no reason. file charges. it’s on the record for all to see.
The will to make it happen.

well thats the thing this year---- the Pelicans (through the Hawks) get our first round pick if we are not one of the 10 worst teams.

I would agree that the incentives to tank are not what they used to be- but keeping the pick is important.

Now if they have a legit playoff chance and think that they are good to go because Sexton and Garland are looking great and osman is progressing and Thompson keeps this up and is going for 18 and 12 and shooting 60% from the field and blocking shots like a wild man- so much the better--- but the worst place to finish is like 9th or 10th in the East- especially if its right outside of keeping the pick.

Itll be interesting to see how it works out.

Cp3 isn't doing much to improve his trade value, unless you count being a good soldier and letting SG-A and Schroeder take the lead.

I didn't know that the Bucks were his destination of choice.

I could see that if his salary wasn't so trash.

They'd have to give up Middleton to match salaries.

Hell to the no.

CP3 will restructure his contract so that he can sign with the Bucks on a team friendly deal. - buck-Alice

On the brightside now tlance will have a built in excuse...Because it wasn't looking good even before he broke his hand
yah--- i think it was pretty clear that Curry is NOT the type of guy that can carry a team- that when he is not surrounded by an all time cast of characters that he is not a James Harden- let alone a LeBron.
