Barkley is younger than both and already better than both . And he plays with a far worse QB. If Barkley was in Dallas his stats would make Zeke's look terrible. Don't get me wrong there are other very good backs but Barkley is on a different level

I like Barkley and choosing Barkley can easily be justified. But "not even close"?

comparing their rookie seasons, they had about the same total yards (slight edge for Barkley). 1 more TD for Zeke, slightly better yards/carry for Zeke and way more yards/rec for Zeke.

with a rookie QB.

And a better QB and the best OL in football that year. If the Giants called up the Cowboys and said Barkley for Zeke straight up the Cowboys staff wouldn't be able to pack Zeke's shit up fast enough . Same with any other back in the league

If the trade was just for this season it's no lock they make the deal. An actual trade? sure.....because Zeke is 2 years closer to FA.

Manning and Dak were very similar last season in production.

here are my thoughts.
When it comes to moves & catching. obviously by my pick I went McCaffrey.
Thing is I really dont know how well he blocks.
if he does this well (which I guess panther fans could tell me) I would keep him as my 1st pick.
I truly believe if he was on the this current Chiefs team he could be the 1st ever 1300/1300 RB.
Now if his Blocking is lacking
Then I would fall back on Zeke & Barkley who are similiar back as they are both 3 down backs that can dop all three phases. Run/catch/ block.
I think Zeke is the better blocker of the two. But I also think Barkley is/will be the better receiver & the more more explosive & even quicker Runner. Add in younger (couple less miles) this exclues Zeke from the Poll (for me)
it is either mcaffrey (a bit different back) or Barkley (younger better/soon to be better Zeke)
For the moment (Naive about his blocking ability) I go with the McCaffrey.
I mean anyone that can make Sean Lee look silly at tackling. not for a play but a game. To piss him off so bad he takes it out on tackling dummies before & after practice a full week after playing. that is respect to a player from one all pro to another.

Now if people that know Mccaffrey better than I. Says he struggles at blocking. Then I have to go with all of your's popular pick of Barkley.

My sleeper pick out of the list given is Lindsay.
My under the radar pick seems like no one ever talks of is breida.

I made a list of gen stats players awhile back ago.

the fastest run last year was from him if I remember it correctly. (yes over hill)
If a balanced threat (starting QB not getting hurt) where defenses starts with stopping the run.
I can see him being the surprise of the year this year. if he is recovered from injury. (havent really followed)

If we are going on full strength, power and capabilities...the easy choice is Ezekiel.

If we are going on the word of most of my contacts...Zeke as well.
