The GOAT conversations are cancerous.

Half of twitter spends all day- every day- trying to tear down LeBron or Jordan.

It's stupid. You don't hear a 10th of the GOAT arguments in baseball and baseball is all the better for it.

Food for thought:
I know the OP is intended to compare LeBon and Bird. However, Both are once in a generation talents who obviously played in different eras. The game is much different now than when Bird played. Admitting that LeBron is great doesn't take anything away from Bird's greatness or vice versa

yes that is 100% correct... I mainly started this as I mentioned because I didn't realize Bird had those numbers

That's because 1 player doesn't have the impact on a team that 1 player does in basketball.

You should see his daughter. Yowza! They didn't need to do a paternity test to figure that one out

No, it's because baseball has too big of a history for that type of nonsense and it was alive and well before the whole ESPN talk show bullshit.

Because baseball has been around longer? This is your argument?

Look, you like the whole GOAT bs. Fine. Baseball fans couldn't care less. It's a bunch of nonsense. Mike Trout is a guy you could start pumping up as potentially the GOAT baseball player when he's done because he's that fucking good but no serious baseball fan is going to consider that garbage because they know it's garbage. There's no point to it. Just watch the games.
