It’s like the Eagles just beat Minnesota and we’re only three games in...
I gotta say--- if anyone out there tries to say the Process didnt work they are just lying to themselves at this point. Philly has as bright of future as any team out there. Patience has paid off with 2 super stars in Simmons and Embiid. I did enjoy watching Embiid tear up the Heat--- but it def. doesnt make me feel good for a potential ECF.@bksballer89 @TurnUpTheHeat @Heatles84 @Trench Mob
Question for the Heat fans : If the Sixers have the two best players, what is the path going forward for the Heat? While always an attractive FA destination, are you concerned that the Heat are locked into a 35-45 win season every year while making the playoffs as a lower seed? Is that good enough for you? Those championships weren't too long ago, so when does that aura wash over? When does making the playoffs become not enough?
The reason I ask is that the Sixers were in a similar position of being the perennial low playoff seed and then hoping a late teens first round pick can take them to the next level, which doesn't really happen that often. Miami is a much better FA destination, but cap problems limit them (looks like they have already committed $147M in 2018-19 and $118M in 2019-20).
I know that some of the anger is because we are obnoxious Philly fans.
And there might be some anger because the Process is now validated (yes, it's only a 2-1 series lead, but there is no denying how bright our future is, health-impending).
But, is there anger towards Heat management because options are limited and you'd rather not blow it all up and start your own Process, whatever that may be?
I would imagine it's a bit of all three. But, mostly the obnoxious part....
What I'm really asking is what is the Miami Process for the immediate future and long term future???

Its def. a good sign Winslow seems to be playing well. Richardon impressed me again last night.I'm a fan.
Also series is far from over. The Heat were a good 4th quarter away from being up 2-1 heading into game 4. That is the difference between being down 2-1 or up 2-1
@TurnUpTheHeat I would feel better about the thorough ass whooping Embiid put on Whiteside- but damn if Embiid and the Sixers are not a little bit scary and id prefer Miami take the series.
Embiid- had not played for weeks: 23 pts, 3/4 from 3, 7 boards, 4 assists, 3 blocks, 1 steal
Whiteside- 5 pts, 2 rebounds , 1 block
Whiteside has a grand total of 40 minutes played in 3 playoff games and has made 3 field goals, and has 12 rebounds. Simply awful.
Screw that. Embiid is a godsend. Give me all that personality every time. His troll game is ELITE and he's got the skills to back up any talk whether its trolling or not. This dude can talk as much as he wants as far as I'm concerned. Personalities like that are what makes the NBA great and why its popularity is rising in every facet.
what assets do you have to land a top 15 player? I certainly dont see that unless you tank and get a high pick whichi isnt really possible.Making the playoffs become not enough when we have a good enough roster to actually make a deep run which we currently do not
I think Pat is done with the FA route because we struck out the last 2 seasons even though we were able to get meetings with Hayward and Durant. I'm expecting a huge trade this summer or next summer to land a top 15 player.
might not be easy moving 2 years 52M...unless you are willing to take some money back that is not that great.Yeah he's awful. Praying he's off the roster come September
I am just laughing about how Wade is whining about physical play when Miami is clearly going all goon in this one.
I don't blame them for doing it, it is their only shot, since they can't hang with Philly in a fast paced shootout. I just think it is funny as hell when they complain about Philly doing the same back to them.
Moral of the story, which NFL fans should understand: You are not going to out-thug a Philly team. Sorry.

i gotta say- the Heat were on FIRE from 3--- hitting 16 three's on 49% shooting. To lose a game when you are red-hot from 3 like that is rare for the Heat on the home court.---however Philly was even hotter from 3. Anderson, Bellinelli and Illysova combined to go 8/14 from 3 coming off the bench--- that cant happen.
If the Heat are gonna win they cant let guys like Bellineli and Saric combine for 40+ points.
The turnovers were not that different-- 15 for the Heat, 10 for the Sixers....Rebounding was fairly similar with a slight edge to the Sixers.
In your opinion what is the deal with Whiteside? Even I did not expect him to be the absolute non factor that he has been thus far---- is it Spo? is it foul trouble? matchups?
100% this.
I love the trash talking in basketball. I love when players get in Instagram wars. Hell its half the reason why I have an Instagram account.

that last year player option is 27M. you think he opts out of a 1 year 27M offer?Well he is scheduled to be a free agent next summer assuming he opt out of his player opinion which I assume he does unless has a season ending injury next year.
