As Sushi points out, it's a one year deal. Getting Reddick to agree to a 1 year deal increases the cost of the deal. Last offseason that premium was $23 million. This year it is $13 million.

If Lebron had come to Philly, then Reddick likely signs a multi-year deal at a more affordable number.

IMO, Reddick was always coming back to Philly. It was just a matter of the details of the deal.

seems like 13 is quite a bit more than 8.
