The only thing worse than football knowledge at times around here is reading comprehension.

chill you had a top 5 QB here for the past three years. I can't remember if you are an ABC guy or not and don't give a shit. If you don't understand what we let go you might want to go hang with the guy that thinks we have a fullback. :trash:

And I get it, he is gone. I am actually kind of happy for the dude to get out of this losing organization. My real point was about the organization D i d I s a y t h a t s l o w e n o u g h?

My reading comprehension is fine, kemosabe. Try again. Maybe read it more slowly yourself...

Edit: Lemme break it down for you, chooch:

If KC is harboring ill will four years later because he didn't get a "WAY TO GO!" when we won a game that the golden boy (at the time) didn't play in quickly enough, then that's as petty as redskins management offering him a bullshit contract in the first place.

Did you understand that, Koko?

I think what he is pointing out is a pattern of behavior from the front office towards the player. MAybe that the front office had determined years ago that they really didnt want this guy around and would never really warm up to him any more than you warm up to the tax accountant. You pay him because you have to, but the moment you can get a different solution you take it.

This post is as dumb as Sportsters. It's like you morons agree to find the absolute worst in anything having to do with the Redskins, and run with it.

Admit it, one trick Pony - OTP from now on, BTW: You don't have any "pattern of behavior," you're just making shit up.

Well, two can play at that game. I present to you, the OTP, "REASONS WHY KC IS A GREEDY SOB WHO IS ONLY INTERESTED IN MAKING AS MUCH MONEY AS HE CAN POSSIBLY MAKE"

Mind you, for the dumbys among us that can't read, i DO NOT actually believe this:

1. The Skins offered him a LTD, but it wasn't enough money.
2.They tried to negotiate another LTD, but Jesus apparently told him to bet on himself.
3.After paying KC $44 million, apparently KC needs to find greener pastures with some other unwittingly foolish team. Good for him.
4.Most recently, it's been reported that he wants a 3 year deal, fully guaranteed, so that he can fleece ANOTHER team in three more years.

Pray tell, OTP, will THAT team, three years from now, ALSO be disrespecting KC in some bullshit way?

Please show me what you think I have made up?? Our front office has shown a pattern of behavior for years since Snyder brought the team.

You might have faith in them, I dont.

And for the bonus question I will ask you again... how old were you the last time the Redskins were actually good on the field??

And if you wonder why your age would matter. Its rather simple actually. If all you have ever known is Dan Snyder Redskins football in your life, you will never understand what guys like Me, Skinsdad, Sportster and a few others are saying.

OTP, I was old enough to have shared a drink with Clint Didier and his lovely wife, in his home.

Old enough to thoroughly enjoy the following two quotes:

"I didn't spit, I sneezed." AAAAANNNNDDDDD
"Loosen up Sandy baby."

Do YOU know where those quotes are from, OTP?

Wrong again, OTP.

ONe or both are from Riggins, I could be mistaken on the first.

And if you are honestly old enough to have seen a real good Redskins team, any faith in Dan and Bruce is simply... well I would say confusing. But Im starting to think its just blind loyalty with a dash of desperation.

The first one is from Dexter Manley, when asked if he spit on Danny White while sacking him. It was all over the papers at the time.

If you couldn't get the second one, than I'd probably argue that you haven't been a redskins fan for nearly as long as you say you have. Not that THAT would be so surprising, mind you: there are all kinds of fake redskins fan trolls, like the philly one, parading around here from time to time. Bananaman, etc.

But I digress....

You are clearly the OTP. You have no faith in anything the redskins do. You equate having "some" faith as having blind faith, and anyone who disagrees with your rather simplistic understanding of how the redskins treated KC as being an "ABC"

You lack the capacity to appreciate nuance. You don't seem to understand shades of gray.

You ARE the OTP.

I will actually take that as a complement hoss. Because my one trick as you call it has been pretty spot on for those that have been around here long enough. I have no faith in Dan because he has shown a consistent short sightedness and a desire for the shiny toy.

Everytime the team even remotely begins to go in the right direction, he gets bored and needs to flip the script.

Marty.. wasnt exciting enough for him.

Scot.. wanted too much power for him and Bruce.

When we needed a QB... he had to swing for the fences burning draft picks, as well as another coaches career in the bargain.

When we find a good QB, he still wasnt quite good enough.. so lets bet against him and start all over.

Dan and Bruce have shown a capacity to be petty, childish and reactionary when they dont get their way.

SO IM sorry, there really arent any shades of gray where these two are concerned. Because every few years they do decide a solid player just isnt good enough and we need something MORE. They get the fan base all excited, then when it fails.. rinse and repeat.

That was good chill, not mad at you either chill .... another 20 or 30 years and you might understand this game. There is always night school for reading comprehension. You might even get your GED. :suds: I can play this all day son or until I get bored. :pound:

Again some folks here like to stereotype everyone & paint broad strokes for everyone. You either hate Snyder/Allen AND badmouth every move (& the team in the process & learn to hate the team) or you are a puppet or some type of moron.

What about someone like myself who - again - hates Snyder/Allen, wanted Cousins to re-sign but still actively cheers for the Skins, hopes for the best & yes sees some potential for next season? Am i supposed to "get with the pgm" & start hating the Redskins more? Am I supposed to make it an everyday ritual to bitch about something about the Redskins? Am I supposed to pout & get depressed about Cousins departure for the next few years & continue to follow him on another team?

I just don't get it. Why is not possible to not like Snyder/Allen yet still root for the Redskins AND see hope for the future? It is as if some folks on this forum view people as flawed for finding anything positive for this team at the current time. Sigh....

shark pays to travel to Fed Ex Field from FL a couple of times a year. You think he doesn't like the team? That looks like painting with a broad brush stroke to me. I think of you get upset with shark because he is spot on in his analysis of the FO. For all the ideas I have heard around here about Cousins for three years shark is the one who nailed what was going to happen.

Explain to me your optimism for next season. We now have the most conservative QB in history which would be fine if we had a defense or run game.

@chillerdab

Dexter's spit/sneeze happened against the Saints OT Jim Dombrowski(sp) and is credited with being the key play that allowed the Skins to win a come from behind 27-24 victory against NO. Dombrowski had shut Dex totally down up to that point, but lost his cool and slugged Dexter a couple times. Which in turn drew an unsportsmanlike penalty on Dombrowski. That turned a 37 yd FG att for the Saints into a 52 yd FG att that was on line, but came up a couple yards short. The Saints were leading at the time 24-17.

@Sharkinva

I can't front, homey. That was disappointing you not knowing the "Loosen up, Sandy baby." comment. That was epic and vintage Riggo. Clearly you didn't watch the NFLN"s A Football Life on John Riggins last year or you'd of been reminded of it. The Football Life segment on "White Chocolate" the nickname Jets teammates gave Riggo for his speed and hellified afro was very entertaining. Check it out if you ever get a chance.

Breed.. I did know the Riggo comment. It was the Manley comment I wasnt too sure on who said it...

Just for Clarification.

And no I have never watched an episode of a football life.

IMO Marty kinda tore his own ass for unexplainably staying with Jeff George as his QB to open up the 2001 season. That led to the first 2 losses of the 5 losses we opened up the season with that year. But fuck Marty anyway, he wasn't gonna lead the Skions to a Super Bowl title just like he didn't lead the Chargers tyo one. And he tried running off Mr Redskin (his biggest sin) because he mistakenly thought he couldn't ball anymore.

You're on point though. The only HC swho did what he wanted and how he wanted was Joe Gibbs and unfortunately he was the one HC who needed to be reeled in by someone. As it was under Gibbs 2.0 that the Skins started being ran like a fantasy football team with some outright awful trades, not enough patience, and an weird refusal to employ a RBBC while running Clinton Portis into the ground.

Oops. I got the Manley part right, but the wrong opponent. He said something about Danny White at some point though, Dexter Manley did.

That dude was a character.
