Amen....

I'm really starting to think the Lakers might get their man...

Westbrook doesn't get it.

Terrible tweet. I watched the ending of the game and both players were bad. I'm just not buying PG-13 as a superstar. Both he and Westbrook struggled.

I see 15 possible losses. My guess is the Lakers win about half of those possible losses and lose either 7 or 8 more games to end the season

Your more optimistic than I am. lol

If they go 7-13 over their last 20... I'll be happy. It'll put them at 35 wins, which I thought before the season was about where they needed to get to truly spark the interest of max FA's.

If they go 10-10, I'll be even happier.

If they manage to get to 41 wins (13-7), I'll be ecstatic.

To be 100% fair, some of the run they've been on is because they have played teams that are openly tanking or not at full strength. That's not to say they aren't playing much better or haven't greatly improved over the course of the season, (for example, last night against the Spurs when they were down 17 late and still down 10 with about 5 minutes left...would have been a blowout loss earlier in the season) but it has definitely helped.

Another who wants to tank more game on the schedule today @Bolts as the Suns and Hawks face each other.
I'd rather see Atlanta get the big L, but at least one of them will. Kings have a tough tank test ahead of them tonight against the Knicks.

5-15 most likely.

It'll be interesting to see what your Lakers look like next year w/ the money they have. As far as this year, don't know what the expectations were. No question though they are better this year than last.

Nance might be 1 of the few NBAers that didn't mind going to Cleveland. He grew up not too far away in Revere.

Yeah, I heard that as much as he liked being part of what the Lakers are building, he was really happy to get to go home and play in front of his friends and family. I think his Dad has been at every game.

That's what I've heard. My sister's a big Cavs fan. She actually called me when Nance was traded. Alotta longtime Cavs fans (yes they exist!) are excited to see Nance Jr. in a Cavs uni.

I'm not sure Westbrook can help himself at this point.

There's definitely still plenty of time, but if Westbrook goes Westbrook in the playoffs, it may become more likely that PG leaves.

It's tough to say. They could look like contenders if they are able to lure Lebron and PG. Or, they could look a lot like they do this season (but hopefully with a more developed young core) if they strike out this off-season and have to save their cap space for 2019.

I think PG is happy. He still getting his shots. Dude is avg 17 shots per night. 3rd most of his career and only 1 shot per game fewer than he avg in Indy last year when it was "his team"

I could see them just adding PG this off-season and a few vets to fill out a roster. If we win 34-35, adding PG and the natural development of the young core should be enough to improve to 40-42 wins and then get a 2nd max player in the summer of 2019.

KD got plenty of shots too. Yet, he's with the Warriors.

It's not necessarily about how many shots they get, it's when they get them. Late in games, especially in the playoffs, Westbrook had a tendency to forget that he had arguably the best pure scorer in the game and would play hero ball.

If he does the same to PG, PG may leave as well.

Hypothetically, if they did strike out.....I'd consider IT on a 1 year deal with a team option for a 2nd year. Say 1 year and 12-15 million. Not anything close to the max he was seeking. He's going to have a reality check on what he's worth.

I don't think the additions of even LeBron & PG would be enough to make them instant title contenders. It would be a big step in the right direction though. Plus I wanna see @ChiefsLakers67 :heh: reaction if LeBron ends up in the Purple & Gold.

True. I don't watch them a lot to know shots he is getting in the 4th quarter. Did watch last night though and saw PG-13 miss 2 wide open 3's late in the game last night. Russ was actually pretty unselfish last night.

Down 4 with under a minute to go and the ball was in Grant hands who of course had a silly turnover :L

Some of how well they do will be determined by how many how many of those teams have their playoff position determined already. If they get teams that are resting players, it will help.

I think adding Lebron and PG would definitely pout them right there with current contenders. Adding those 2 takes a lot of pressure off the young guys and would likely speed their development. Plus, I'd expect that there will be some solid, veteran role players looking to chase a ring who would come on board as well.

It certainly wouldn't make them favorites, but it would give them a better chance than they've had in several years.

Their biggest issue would be the lack of playoff experience among the young guys. Lebron and PG could tell them all about it, but they won't really know what it's like until they play in them.
