Bla bla bla, college football is awesome because of how unpredictable it can be. Look at FSU for example, they were slated as the preseason #2 or something like that and they were a gigantic flop.

I know it is the off season but this argument cannot and will not end until the season starts.

Perhaps pace yourselves a bit and stop writing a novel for every post, your going to run out of things to bitch and argue about.
You listen here and you listen good, motherfucker: I will NEVER run out of things to bitch and argue about. EVER.

LOL

Here is a good idea. Pick your favorite dark horse to win the B1G and argue why you think that may be.

I'd have to say Nebraska honestly. I think you may have known I'd say that, but it's not a bad choice at all.

I figure most people would say Nebraska or Purdue right now when it comes to teams who arent likely but could surprise for sure.

I wouldn't be shocked if one of them knocked off Wisconsin. TBH, I think the West is open this year. Wisconsin is far from a shoe-in with their conference road schedule.

Nebraska has the potential, but it really all depends on how well everyone trains and learns SF's system and buys in. Then of course while i think SF's team once firing on all cylinders will be effective, it is still not a certainty. Not likely but definitely a possibility, especially here in hypothetical land.

Oh I'm aware that I am, but you would be too if your team was elite. I'm not saying OSU is above the Clemson's or Alabama's of the college football world, but we are at the top of the B1G.

Time for a coup

Here are three B1G coup candidates:

...is this serious? Here is a direct copy and paste from your previous quote: "An lol at you trying to compare stats all the while totally ignoring MSU offense being different from OSUs."

*EDIT* FFS, it was a typo on my part. Their OFFENSES being different means nothing when trying to say Lewerke is automatically better.

Yes I am arguing that, and I will be right. You do understand starting 1 season doesn't instantly make you better than someone else, don't you?

I’m glad you caught your fuck up. Good work

An now you do understand saying someone is better just because he’s on your team doesn’t mean he’s actually better. Haskins has nearly no stats for you to compare him too Lewerke who has stats. That’s why saying Haskins is better right now is beyond rediculous. He played mop up duty and came in one game for serious time. So no, you aren’t right.

That's the difference between our knowledge levels. You look at one QB putting up decent, but far from great, numbers and just assume a more talented QB on a more talented offense is somehow completely unable to do better. If that's how you feel, that's fine. Just know you will be proven wrong this year.

You are making fun of my “knowledge” level because I am taking a qb that has actually started a game in high and has produced stats right now over a guy that has never started and has only taken a handful of meaningful snaps in a quarter and a half?

I never once said Haskins can’t do better? Where did I say this? Show me.

What I said and if you would read and actually comprehend is it’s rediculous to say Haskins is the best qb in the B1G right now when he has no experience.

Maybe you should reread this thread and see how much of a jackass you are being. You are the definition of a blowhard homer.

Thanks

This thread took this turn because I stated my opinion and jackasses like you jumped all over my shit and immediately started throwing insults. I never once said you all have to believe me, and that if I was wrong you're free to throw it in my face. I still stand by that.

Again, Lewerke is mediocre. If you want to take the coward's route and accept mediocrity, go ahead. Look at his numbers, and then look at the numbers OSU QBs have put up under Urban. Hell, Braxton put up better numbers than Lewerke and he wasn't even a QB to begin with.

The knowledge level I speak of is what I know of Haskins and you don't. There is a reason basically every single top team across the nation offered him. I'm not saying he's a generational talent necessarily, but the kid has the best skillset of any QB OSU has had in a long time, and thinking 3 offseasons in the program with the experience he gained last year will have him prepared to put up monster stats is far from "rediculous" if you pay attention to the normal stats our QBs put up.

Again, if you're going to predict Lewerke has a better year than Haskins, be my guest. You will be wrong.

Up early too ehh.

I figured you’d speak like this. What balls you have saying someone is throwing insults why you try and insult intelligence. You are the definition of a hypocrit.

Sure Lewerke’s numbers aren’t superb but they are better then Haskins numbers. Here’s a hint, Haskins doesn’t have much numbers nor does he have many meaningful snaps. You acting like he is God’s gift to the earth is beyond stupid.

It is absolutely rediculous calling Haskins the best qb in the B10. He has never started a game. Please take your blinders off and realize how stupid you look saying this. Notice no other OSU fan has come in here and agreed with you on this. That should tell you something.

Yeah, working on a pork butt for the game later. Giant trays of pulled pork nachos.

Dude. You have been throwing insults. That's not being hypocritical, it's the truth. Not only that, but why WOULD you have the intelligence of Ohio State's QB talent that I do? You're not even an OSU fan. That's my point.

I've said repeatedly now - if you would rather have Lewerke's stats this season, you are more than welcome. If I could hand pick any QB in the B1G to be Ohio State's QB this year, it is 100% Haskins. I've laid out the reasons numerous times. I'm not looking for other OSU fans to come in and get my back. I don't care that this is his first year starting. If you don't agree, then have your opinion! I'm not changing my mind, and even if I would, you sure aren't doing yourself any favors when you try and tell me you'd rather have Lewerke.

Sounds good. My wife’s parents are die hard eagle fans so we are having a philly themed food party. Prolly way too much cheesesteak and hoagie stuff. (I hope the Patriots win)

Dude, you have been repeatedly questioning the intelligence of anyone who doesn’t agree with you. I love college football and watch a ton. Not just my team. That’s my point, just because I’m not a fan of OSU doesn’t mean I don’t know anything about them.

I said right now ATF. Right freaking now Haskins is not the best QB in the B1G. Of course I’m not picking any MSU qb over the OSU qb (mainly because of the offense run). But right now Lewerke is better than Haskins because he has the numbers and time to prove it.

We’ll just agree to disagree.

Haha ah man, that will be fun. What else is there for a Philly-themed party? Gonna throw all of your garbage all along the floor of the house?

Who have I been questioning other than you? It's not like I've been saying you all know nothing about the sport if you don't agree. I said you don't have the knowledge of him that I do, which is the truth.

Going by your logic, Haskins is the worse QB in the B1G then, other than the other 1st year starters. You're telling me you'd take Elijah Sindlar over Haskins for your team? Brandon Peters made some starts, you'd rather have him? How about Max Bortenschlager? He made several starts.

I am more than aware of the fact he didn't play a lot. However, when he did play, he looked really, really good. Better than I would've anticipated at that point. The way he played against michigan, in that environment, against that defense, leading the team to victory, was very impressive.

Again, if you can tell me right now you'd rather have Lewerke starting for your team this year, be my guest. He's all yours. And again, if I'm wrong, feel free to bookmark this and throw it in my face. I'm not worried about that happening at all, though.

Yeah basically, I hate philly and most of their fans.

Reread this thread. Just because no ones an Ohio State fan doesn’t mean we don’t know anything about Ohio State. What knowledge do you have that no one else does?

Haskins RIGHT NOW is not better then any of the 3 you listed. He has not proven anything. I’m taking someone with game experience and meanful snaps over potential to start out. Sorry, maybe that’s just me. An for the season, I’m taking Mcsorely to be the best QB in the B1G.

Yeah I'm with you there. I don't want to have to root for the Pats but damn.

I'm fairly certain this conversation started with "who is going to be the best QB this season", not "who has put up the most numbers to this point." I'm aware that Lewerke has a year of starting experience and stats. It doesn't mean I think he's going to be better this coming season, which I very clearly don't. Right now, Haskins doesn't have the experience. It hardly means he's not as good.

McSorley isn't a horrible choice, but with everything he's losing, it's hard to imagine him duplicating his stats from last year.
