Took a major hit last night with ATL winning a game they should have lost. Saints choked big time. Anywho we need them, SEA, and CAR to lose most of their remaining games and we would have to win out.

If we dont make the playoffs and Caldwell still is not fired I am going to be super pissed.

What do you guys honestly think the chances of him getting pushed out are?

No chance Caldwell gets fired.

Mediocre doesn't get anyone fired by the Lions.

8-8 or 9-7 is safely mediocre.

I think there's a chance he gets fired. Especially if we lose in Tampa. The team has turned on him. I think the 9 men on the field was the last straw. There is a reason neither McHoody or Matty Patty took HC jobs last year. One will end up in Tampa and one will end up here soon.

Hope you are right. Mchoody brings the missing ingredient for Cooter to become a real OC. If we dont get someone like him then Cooter may have to go as well. That would not be good for Stafford.

Especially at his age.

I'll trade Cooter for a RB who weighs more than 190 lbs

Zero. Perhaps not mathematically but realistically. Given they've lost to NO, ATL & The Panthers, it would likely take 11 wins to snag a WC spot and the Vikes aren't going to lose the rest of theirs as far as the division is concerned.

Egh.

I hope he doesn't if the alternative is a Pats assistant. They never do shit.

I was in Denver when they hired McDaniels, it was a train wreck to watch. Even by NFL standards he has an ego to be embarrassed about.

I'm not interested in McDaniels at all.

Dude is riding Tom Brady's coat tails.

We just need a OC who knows how to make exotic running schemes and draft a RB who can break tackles. Stafford can take care of the rest.

The rest of the draft needs to be all defense. Preferably DL. I don't give two shits if it is a DT or DE at this point. Just get some pressure on the QB.

He drafted Tim Tebow. On purpose.

Why would anyone want that clown as a HC?

He did trade Cutler for 2 1sts and a 3rd round pick.
He used those picks for Ayers and Tebow though......just terrible. He also traded a future first for a second round pick that he used on Alphonso Smith. He traded Smith after 1 year for our 6th rd TE. And the 1st he traded for Smith became Earl Thomas.

He was so terrible that Millen would be embarrassed to be compared to him.

He is not that guy anymore. He knows he made a lot of mistakes. He has grown tremendously since then. His approach since coming back to NE has been much more Belichick like. He will be fine.

Caldwell isn't getting fired when we miss the playoffs, so I'm not that worried.

But I don't believe he will ever be successful without Bill.
