One thing is for sure, any little bit of trust Cousins had in Doctson is likely gone now.

And much like the Bengals tie, this one could come back to haunt later in the season.

Look at it again, ball came out because he took one hand off the ball to try and brace himself for the fall. Bit o the bitch in my book.

I have the play on freeze-frame right now. I'm OK with him sticking his arm like that. Its a natural thing to do

We're gonna disagree about shit forever I guess, but I'm OK with Doctson not finishing the play. I see enough from the play that I like what I see more than what I didn't see. I think he has the goods to be a baller.

And i think, he doesnt have the health or the heart to be a baller. If he is wide open, or can make a clean catch, sure he will probably wow us. BUt that play right there tells me he aint going to be the guy you trust to make a play when the game is on the line. And last year tells me, he aint willing to play through.

You are talking like a fan - not an NFL player. Cousins won't lose trust in Doctson - players don't (& can't afford to) think like that. Cousins has to take advantage of all of his weapons moving forward. The minute he starts to play favorites too much or ignores certain guys he is toast. He is too much of a pro to act in that manner.

18 snaps in the second half, ugh

Its bullshit, as SP's fumble gets noted as Cuz's fumble in the official books, but that play hurt. But and this is not laying blame on KC cuz I thought he played a damn good game, he just didn't get the ball enough, but he did miss Grant deep downfield on 3rd n long the play after. Still, its hard to expect the offense to hit every fuckin time they have the ball and Kirk more than gave the Skins the chance to win tonight.

This loss was on the defense as KC converted on 3rd dn 61% of the time. And this is really fucked up as even though KC got 5 first downs by penalty. We still gave up 24 other first downs for a total 29. Its amazing we didn't our asses stomped tonight. The defense was horrid and they looked good on the first couple series and just fell apart. Injuries played a part, but Smith did us in with his feet, both running and passing, and KC has a lotta play makers.

OK so can we STOP looking at rookie QBs and find a WR that doesnt have the imabitch syndrome??
Just fuking stop shark! The guy didn't complete the catch, period! He is the only WR on our team that could have gone up the way he did to even have an attempt at making that catch. Dude is a freak athlete that needs reps. He has been hurt (not purposely) as you without so many words indicate the past year and really hasn't even settled in yet. It's game 5 of his NFL career and you are ready to put Doctson out to pasture. Ridiculous! The team has more serious concerns right now than Doctson.

WTF ever, guy has a magnitude of GREAT catches in college. He is fine and will finish those catches with a few more reps. If you cannot see the freakish athletic ability and talent of Doctson then your just choosing to see what YOU want to see. Give Doc more reps and things will take care of themselves. Tough catch last night that he just didn't finish unfortunately.

Actually I think Pryor or Reed could have made the catch as well. We gave up a first rounder for him to sit on his ass last year with an unknown leg issue. Hold him to the same standards as the other 52. The play was there for him to make, he wussed out at the last second.

I agree. He doubled catched it plus he has possession of it going to the ground. Should of had both hands or arms on the ball.

First of all, he didn't wuss out. He didn't complete the catch, period! Get the fuck over it. Pryor with the way he is playing should be the guy you are all over. He has been a huge disappointment so far. Reed for some reason is non existent in our offense as was Crowder. It's a team sport shark and there is plenty of blame to go around and while YOU see what you only want to see, most here know blame can be spread out to everyone on the offense, not just Doctson.

What Shark means by "wuss out" is that he used is right arm and hand to brace his fall instead of covering the ball with 2 hands. If he goes to the ground with 2 hands on the ball the ball cant come lose b/c the ball is covered. One hand and exposed the ball will move. The question is why is he bracing himself going to the ground on the playoff the game?

I agree with you on Pryor. He has been awful. Crowder not being involved baffles me.

Sounds alot like Malcolm Kelly to me.

Cmon - Kelly had a cup of coffee w/ the Redskins & was basically a bust from the word go. Doctson already has contributed & did actually make contributions last nt. What do you suggest they do with him? Cut him - trade him? That would be in line w/ the impatience & stupid moves from previous Redskins FO dolts like Cerrato.

The kid made a mistake (& not a huge one - it wasn't an easy catch) - get over it. This has nothing to do w/ Cousins. He played well & I don't believe that anyone here is stating that Cousins played poorly. Arguing against Cousins critics is fine & I am with that completely. However - arguing against perceived or assumed Cousins critics is just unnecessary.

How about we just root for the Redskins - period - not just certain players. Again - I feel very confident that Cousins will be on this team next season so no real reason to rail against him or against other players - at least not until these players have played most of the season. I just hope that most Redskins fans would rather root for this team than bitch about them nonstop. At this time there appears to be more good than bad for this team so let's at least enjoy that. Give it time. This team has still not played together for very long. Plenty of time to redeem himself & they were playing against a very good team. Seems to me that I recall that many folks here were railing against the O line after the first week & they appear to have redeemed themselves. Give these guys a little time to try to do the same.

You appear to be overly critical of just about everyone on this team - give it a rest.

I find it hard to reconcile this with this

4th paragraph: While Cousins performed well last night, (Doctson drop didn't help) it simply wasn't enough. On 2 particular 3rd & short opportunities we did not convert and had to punt. Either the play calling or execution was poor and while I do not put that squarely on Cousins, he is our leader, QB and as we all know, TD's when games in this league, not FG's. The whole offense needs to improve and I believe it will moving forward. Cousins & Co are too good not to and we need help at RB. The OL played well last night in pass protection and were physical up front.

On the one hand you are saying well Cousins played OK, but it wasnt good enough. On the other you are saying, well we should give Doctson more time.

While I agree Doctson shouldnt be benched. Fact is, had he kept two hands on the ball, he likely makes the catch and we likely win. Flip side, Kirk did everything people have been saying he is not capable of. He took the team on his back, when the run game vanished and the defense was getting shaky. He put the team in a position to win the game.. but and I quote you here... it simply wasnt good enough.

No I am not. Why are you confrontational? Shark and I agree about the Doctson catch. Its a valid point to bring up the clock situation.
