Everything looks good, however the Army line still needs to be moved to 7.5.

think the fact that she has gone to the lengths of hiring an attorney to help clear his name tends to speak to this being the school overreacting rather than to him abusing her.

I'm just surprised that they took the word of a neighbor so seriously.

We are hearing one side of the story. If things occurred as she describes, I would hope things could never go that far.

There was an investigation, and out of respect for TF, and his sincere best interests for these young men in mind, I won't even make the obvious joke here, but there WAS an investigation and I'm guessing there were some inconsistencies with what they found and the way she described it.

As she describes it, things just don't add up, so there has got to be more than meets the eye.

USC is a great institution and I'd hope/assume that they wouldn't just kick him off the team based on something a neighbor said. I have to assume that perhaps this was maybe an ongoing issue and was confirmed by a number of different people.

The part that stuck out to me, was the part where she said he was basically kicked off the team, and out of school, but he was also told that he couldn't have contact with her.

I thought wow, there is no police involvement, he no longer has an obligation to SC about what he does, who are they to tell him that he could not have contact with her?

Just thinking about that question, and it's easy to figure out that her real gripe is she can't see him at school any longer, not in the dorms, not at the games, not at the library, nowhere on campus or at USC events. So this comes back to her not getting to see him, in spite of what they discovered in their investigation. Suddenly the domestic abuse victim picture starts to emerge, if indeed that's what's going on here.

For a minute there, I thought I was losing my mind, since I changed it to 7.5 once before and saw it was at 5.5 once again.

They're confirming that LA gets the 2028 olympics summer games. I know USC has been trying to assume more control from the city over the coliseum and do more upgrades to make it better for football, but if the track and field events are going to be held there, its gonna limit what they can do with seating near the field.

I'm guessing the Opening and closing ceremonies and all the track and field events will be held at the new stadium being built for the Rams and Chargers.

Why does there have to be more than meets the eye? You have a neighbor watching from a distance and the person who was allegedly abused with 2 different stories. Interesting that you think it's her story that doesn't add up.

As for the "investigation" what do you think that consisted of? There is apparently no videotape of the incident and 1 witness. So, each of the 3 of them gets questioned and the "investigators" decide who they believe. He wasn't arrested or charged with anything. It doesn't even sound like the police were called.

Young couples horseplay and it can look bad. Heck, I remember in my younger days, a girlfriend of mine and I were walking through the Fashion Island Mall in Newport Beach horseplaying around a little stream that they have running through the place, she lost her balance and ended up in the water. Then, when I tried to help her out, she pulled me in too.

Security guard comes running over to find us in the water and busting a gut laughing. He makes sure we're ok and then says that he had starting running over intending to call the police because he thought we were fighting and it looked like I pushed her in.

Point? Things aren't always as they look from afar.

As for what happened with these 2. The only one's who know for sure what happened are her and Boermeester. She says nothing happened and has hired an attorney to help clear his name. While women do lie to protect the abuser...when was the last time you heard of one hiring an attorney to do it?

Of course he was told he couldn't have contact with her. They ruled against him. It's standard procedure any time a person who is accused of assault loses the case.

What were they going to say? We're kicking you off of the team and out of school, but you can have all of the contact with her that you want?

Maybe I'm wrong I just saw this rendering of the Coliseum for the bid. I know USC will be upgrading the stadium but most of the upgrades were going to be in the upper part so maybe its just the field that needs to change for track events. Its the Summer Olympics so plenty of time to get the field back to football.

I heard about the upgraded locker room. One of our donors pony'ed up $1 million for the reno and it was based in part on things the players asked for and had input on.

I like it ... other than it's a bit dark looking. Kind of looks like a night club you'd see over in Eastern Europe.
