LeBron James Is Indestructible

great article on the indestructibility of LBJ

Since entering the league in 2003, James has never sat out for more than 15 percent of a season (regular and playoffs combined). Among players of his caliber, past and present, that’s unprecedented. Stephen Curry had ankle issues at the start of his career; both Tim Duncan and Kobe Bryant experienced late-season injuries that forced them to miss the playoffs in, respectively, 2000 and 2013

Duncan, however, was incredibly healthy most of the time — he still ranks No. 3 among the retired greats we looked at.

; and Michael Jordan broke his foot in his sophomore season. Then there’s James. He’s never missed a playoff game, and even though he has the sixth-most regular-season minutes of all time among players at the same point in their careers (within their first 14 years in the league), the most severe injuries he’s incurred are a sore back and knee and some untimely cramps.

Most of the Laker fans dont like Lebron on his board. That is definitely true, doesnt matter how many overall Laker fans there are. Actually out of the main Laker posters almost every one of them doesnt care for him. Now some, including Trojan, arent a fan but know his greatness while others will deny is an all-time talent or they are just trolling. I would also include some Heat fans dont care for him either but most likely for different reasons lol
My question is how many "Cavalier fans" are there in here that became Cavalier fans only after LeBron returned.

Just curious

Only Gordon, but he's not a fan of a team, he's admitted he's a fan of LeBron and that's it.

And there's a few laker fans that root for multiple teams, not that there's anything wrong with it, but @LAD is a Warriors and Lakers fan.

I will still take the Five championships that Kobe Bryant -Helped Us Lakers fans get - over the two that Lebron brought the Heat Fans or the 1 that he brought the Cavaliers. I won't argue that Lebron is a great player in in the top 10 possibly - but I think there were just too many all time greats to put him in the top 3 to 5.

Rooting for another team feels like Treason to me, but it's hard to not wish the Warriors some good luck.

I will never understand why some folks think they can define others fandom.

It's what fans of terrible teams do. Then they have something to root for during the last 3 months of NBA season/playoffs.

I've never seen a fan of 2 different teams -- where both teams sucked in the same season. (would defeat the purpose of having 2 teams)

I am always a Lakers fan first - but I like seeing teams that have never been there go the distance

As a fan of a bunch of bad teams -- I've never had a problem having a 2nd team to root for during the playoffs.

Also as I've gotten older, I often root for close games ... 7 game series ... exciting finishes ... instead of rooting for a specific team. Nothing is better than a competitive series that goes the distance and two teams who don't like it other. ("I'm coming ...") Wiz/Celtics was only series really like this so far.

I actually have come to appreciate the Spurs and what they have done - I wish the Lakers had been that smart

That's why watching the Celtics & Danny is interesting. Does he want to "go for the 2018/2019 Championship" ? ... or does he want to ensure they can "compete for the NBA Championship for the next 10 years" ?

I'd say he is going to go for the one and hope to extend it ten years - he's not stupid

LeBron would be bff with MJ (just like Wade) and they would form super team in the Bulls to beat the late 80s Celtics that constantly spanked MJ in the playoffs.

As others have pointed out, the Warriors got lucky and drafted 3/4 of their Super 4. Only KD was bolted on. They also got lucky with Steph's contract. It's not like players can just form superteams, and certainly not back then.

I mean, the 2004 Lakers tried it with Shaq, Kobe, old ass Malone and old ass Payton. And didn't the Rockets try it with old ass Hakeem, old ass Pippen, and old ass Barkley?

LeBron would have way more championships if he played in the West

He'd probably have at least 8 or 9, tbh.

lol no way in hell. he avoids the west simply for this reason. not a guaranteed road to conf finals year after year. just think whatever team he on. you not adding to you replacing. if he on clippers not only do they not win no 8 rings they probably on average a 3 or 4 seed. now if its chris paul him...AND some other all star like hes HAD to have to win rings his whole career then maybe. you got to remember in west when you get to playoffs aint no teams as bad as bulls. blazers would sweep the bulls. blazers make conf finals in east.

Simply ignorant saying LeBron has intentionally avoided the West. His reasons for the team change decisions were abundantly clear. Had Wade and Bosh teamed up in the West,
he would have gone there. His return to Cleveland was for obvious reasons.

It is really foolish to say a guy who has played for exactly 2 different franchises has intentionally avoided a conference for his entire career because he wanted an easy path to the Finals. I know people are saying this, but there is absolutely no basis in fact to suggest that Finals path had anything to do with LeBron's decision making process.

Had he gone West, he would not have made as many for sure, but his precious "Finals record" would be a lot better. Also, since the Clippers were mentioned, if you replace Blake with leBron healthy Clips are every bit as good as the Warriors (at least the 2015 and 16 versions). LeBron is much better than Blake and he solves their wing issue.
