I'm sure the Sixers are just fine trading Payton for the rookie of rhe year.
News to me, when did the 76ers trade for Andrew Wiggins?

Ranking 2014-15 Rookie of the Year Candidates | Orlando Magic

BTW - Look who was listed as the front runner by Cohen.

#1 Elfrid Payton

Cohen’s Analysis:
The “Man With The Hair” (referenced this way by several players around the league) has suddenly evolved into “Mr. Triple-Double.” Payton replaces explosiveness with impressive speed altering, herky-jerky movements to get where he wants on the court. He has outstanding court vision (leads rookies in assists), is tenacious on defense (leads rookies in steals) and is efficient when he sneaks in the paint. Payton also limits turnovers. His only major weakness is his shooting (25 percent from 3-point distance and 53 percent from free throw line).

Interesting. Hopefully they can get George for him. You know, dump him for a guy who will be a FA in a year. I sure as shit know the Sixers arent giving up Saric or Embiid or Simmons for George. But LA doesnt have players of that quality. Guess you're the one who doesn't get it.

Yeah, because getting a proven all star who has said he wants to play for your team for a guy who is still developing is always a bad move. Plus, if a team is willing to give up a proven all star for a developing player, that developing player must have some value.

Do you actually read your posts before you hit post reply? If not, you should start.

If so. Well.....:tsk:

OK, we got 3 Lakers fans telling me that the Sixers are stupid for drafting this year's rookie of the year.
3 Lakers fans telling me they'd rather have Ingram over Simmons
3 Lakers fans telling me the Lakers are better then Philly even though Philly had a slightly better record and a legit superstar sitting 50 games and another potential superstar sitting out the season who was called the best prospect since Lebron.

But I'm lost. Gotcha.

And we had one Sixers fan, who's so bitter about the results of the lottery, he's making shit up.

Huhh? I'm not bitter at all. Well get a lottery pick from you next year. I'm just defending the fact that a few of you think LA is in better current shape which is ludicrous. You guys don't have an Embiid or a Simmons and probably not even a Saric. We're not a good team this coming up year but definitely ahead of the Lakers especially when you factor in we get a bad LA team pick next year and a bad Sacramento pick in 2019. I'm just fine at where we are at now.

But you guys are acting like I'm the stupid one for being happy with Saric or challenging the 3 people who would rather have Ingram over Simmons

Sorry, I don't argue with people who pick and choose random teams across the country. I will discuss the topics with Laker fans from LA.

So now fans can only root for the teams in their home town?

No wonder nobody outside philly gives two fucks about the sixers.

Dude, really?

People don't have to root for the Teams in the area they live in.

I don't have a horse in this race.

But, that was lame as fuck.

Yeah but you live out West so apparently you're a fraud.

I'll be living in Dallas two weeks from now. Guess I have to switch up and be a Mavs and Cowboys fan now. What team are you supposed to root for since you live in the UK?

dude...Ingram over Simmons is a joke.

I wouldnt say Simmons is the BEST prospect since LeBron---- i think there are a few in that group like Davis, Towns, Griffin, Durant/Oden, Wiggins

but Simmons is in that group.

the one thing where the Lakers fans have a point is the health of Embiid and Simmons.

I dont think anyone would argue--- the 2 best prospects on either team are definitely Embiid and Simmons- but those guys have had significant injury issues

From a "talent" standpoint, Simmons would get taken over Ingram 11 times out of 10. It's difficult to discern what Ingram will be right now after a 1 year sample size. Wing players in the NBA like Harward, Butler, Kawhi, etc.. developed and hit their all start level after 4 years. Ingram could be that player or he could be an effective role player.

Stress fractures that Embiid and Simmons have gone through this early in their careers are troubling. We know Embiid can handle the NBA, but he missed his two first years due to foot issue and missed more than half of the year because of a knee injury and is ready to be signed to a long term deal.
