Wasn't that long ago that we were all calling him K-nino and groaning every time he came to the plate. Is he finally over the hump? What is acceptable from him this year?

120 games started
20-25 HR
65-75 RBI
.750+ OPS

He has the potential for Sanchez-type power but we should never raise our expectations that high.

I am big on Z-Man this season. especially after last year batting avg right at .250 I think ( factoring in a super poor start and trip to Tacoma )

I see him at near 120-130 games you list
25 bombs minimum ( he will flirt with the 30+ club I think )
rbis close to 75 ( Ms offense is potent - its their starting pitching thats Achilles heal )
OPS is alot higher than your .750 ( I think he hovers near .850 most of the season )

Ms would be wise to lock him up to an extension ... great defensive young catchers with some HR pop are more rare in the bigs than most people think. Plus he runs pretty well for a catcher.

He was one of the slow learners that needed alot more than 600-800 MLB at bats to figure things out. was not his fault stupind Mariners brass rushed him to the show

I think you're right. If you look at his stats since he was called down to AAA last year:

Prior to being sent down: 5 2B 0 HR 2 RBI .167/.250/.236 in 24 games
Once he came back: 20 2B 25 HR 62 RBI .270/.349/.571 in 100 games

If you want those last 100 games averaged out into a 162 game schedule, that would be 41 HRs and 101 RBIs.

Zunino has always had the potential and he really put it together after being called up. I really hope whatever change he made sticks.

Fingers crossed for Big Mike

Once again he has had a really solid spring training. he always seems to hit very well in PHX then gets a case of Seager-itis and slumps all of April or longer as he transitions into the regular season

lets hope this year both him and Kyle get it going early and continue all season. Both of those guys hit .250 or so last year. Career low for Seager. He is the one that needs to show up to Seattle next week and be ready to roll when the season kicks off. His patented slow starts in seasons past are getting really fucking old.

he signed one of the big boy contracts just a few years ago ... now he needs to put up big boy numbers

zunino will command top catcher money by the time he becomes a free agent(and the mariners will pay the asking price)..and imo will be one of the top 5 catchers in the game..if he is not now
z-man has trumbo type power.. now..no joke..lol
