I always thought Avril was better at the run than every one else did. I just also thought he was shitty at everything else. He was a below average run defender and has a good speed rush. not a good pass rusher. I hated seeing him routinely get his ass whooped one on one by a tight end.

I kinda noticed Devin Taylor's play in the Packers game. Seems these two young athletic kids played the run well. Sure is a change from watching Avril on skates. With the weather being forecasted for shitty conditions, we will see if Ziggy can be a difference maker in run defense?

That's true.. I still think he was a great prospect.. It's all hindsight.. The place he was drafted was completely appropriate.. Very similar to the Greg Oden situation back in 2007..

Yea, great prospect that never panned out. Remember he stunk in Tampa and never got it going in Chi before his unfortunate end.

I believe Detroit still would have drafted Ansah had Avril agreed to their contract because Cliff plays LE and Ansah replaced KVB at RE.

A fairer comparison imo would be Avril vs. the Jason Jones/Willie Young/Devin Taylor rotation at LE.
