I'm really curious as to how we handle the lines now. Figure Elias becomes our defacto number 1 Center, then who gets 2nd line center? I don't know if JJ is ready for that spot and if he is who can take 3rd line center? I don't know how much faith I have in Zubrus at center (maybe move Tedenby to RW if Zubes is playing center). Messy situation to start the season.
The more I think about this, I believe it may be a blessing in disguise. If JJ moves up to take 2nd line duties and can play well or even just tread water, as long as he doesn't get killed, it will be a tremendous learning experience. If he gets dropped back down to 3rd line when Zajac comes back he will be able to beat up on the 3rd line competition.
Losing Zajac does suck. But maybe, just maybe here looking at the glass half full, bumping JJ to more minutes is better for him as a player and for our team.
Just trying to look at the positive here... but JJ theoritically getting more playing time(assuming) this should bode very well for him and his growth.
