Disagree on what it says about Purcell. To me it says we feel comfortable having Walker out there playing a bigger role so no need for an average vet to take snaps as a stop gap. Just my opinion.

I see what your saying - as Walker will take the Kerr snaps, but there was room on the roster for Kerr and Walker - so Purcell's emergence doesn't mean he is better than Kerr, but it does mean Kerr won't get starter reps so he needs to make another deal around the league while he can. I think it definitely means Purcell makes this roster.

Yeah I agree. You could be right on Purcell. I am just not sold yet. We will see. But really we are probably both right. Certainly not bad news for either one.

Zach Kerr was serviceable and seemed to be a professional. I wonder if the injuries to Jano, Lock, Jones, and Riddick played into it.

I think we just simply upgraded there. Kerr was an ok stop gap. Walker has gotten better and Purcell was out playing Kerr. He’s a vet so released him early to catch on elsewhere if someone is in need. We are cutting players early that may be able to find work elsewhere like Watson, Kerr and Holland instead of waiting for cutdown day.
